~9~ Jealousy

Mihno POV

I tapped Akyla's shoulder so she could follow me and Malaya into the map room. That's where the runners keep all of our notes, data, and an example of a maze. Akyla followed me out of the meeting room so we could go look for Malaya. Once I found Malaya her and Gally was making out. I put my head down and then cleared my throat. Emmmmghmmm! Both of their heads shot our way. "C'mon man that's weird" Gally said looking at me and Akyla. As him and Akyla started arguing I looked at Malaya and motioned for her to c'mon. Even though me and Malaya already had the conversation about what happened it was still kinda awkward between the two of us. Malaya waved at Gally but he was to busy arguing with Akyla to realize. Both me and Malaya laughed then I let her walk in front of me. I tapped Akyla telling her to c'mon but she wouldn't. "No Mihno because I'm about to knock his ass out." As she began to run towards Gally I grabbed her and threw her over my shoulder.

Once we made it to the Map Room. I sat Akyla back on to her feet. She looked around analyzing the place. As I was explaining to Akyla what everything was Malaya pulled a sheet off of the table. Under it was stones and sticks that represented the maze. "That's the maze!" Malaya had said looking at Akyla. Akyla examined the representation "all of it?" I nodded my head answering Akyla's question. "What do you mean all of it I-I-I thought you was still mapping?" "There's nothing left to map" Malaya said taking the words right out my mouth. "This is every piece of the maze, every cycle, every pattern! If there was a way out we would have found it by now." I said as I saw Akyla's face filled with confusion. "Why haven't you told anyone?" It was Alby's call! He wanted people to believe that we actually have a chance of getting out. He wanted people to still have hope. "SO YOUR TELLING ME THAT THEY'RES NO WAY OUT? ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT WE'RE STUCK HERE?!?!" Akyla said as she decided to yell out her emotions. "Well that's what we thought! but maybe now, we have a real chance." Malaya said while looking at the thing we found earlier today inside of the griever. She placed the thing in Akyla's hand so she could take a look. About a year ago we started exploring these outer sections of the maze and we found sections one through eight printed on the walls. See, every night when the maze changes it opens up a new section. So today section six was open and then tomorrow it would be four, eight, and then three. The pattern always stays the same." "What's so special about seven?" Akyla had asked. "I don't know but last night when you killed that griever, section seven was open! We think it must be where it comes from. And tomorrow you and Rayna are gonna have to go and check it out." Malaya had said answering Akyla's question. We all looked at each other but got interrupted by Jeff and Winston running into the map room. "
Hey what do you guys want your boy allowed to be in here! "The girl......she's awake!" Jeff said trying to catch his breath. Akyla ran out of the room and as I was walking out me and Malaya was trying to figure out which one was walking out first. I finally stopped and let her go so the awkwardness could end. Once I let her get some distance I decided to walk out.

Akyla POV

Once I made it to where all the commotion was going on I realized what was going on. The girl was on top of "The Tower" throwing things down at everyone. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" "GO AWAY!!!!" The boys stood at the bottom of the tower covering their heads. As I was walking closer Newt let me get under a piece of wood with him so nothing could hit my head. Where's Rayna? Newt pointed to Gally and Rayna under a piece of metal together. We both laughed knowing how much Gally and Rayna hated each other. I looked over and seen Thomas under a piece of wood with Chuck. "HEY! HEY! HEY! ITS ME THOMAS. You can stop throwing things now." He said softening his voice. "I'm gonna come up okay?" It was quiet for some seconds then Thomas started to walk up the ladder. I felt Jealousy rise in me. But I don't even know if me and Thomas was a thing. We kissed, a lot! But we never really made it official. Once I snapped out of my thoughts I heard Thomas asking us to give them two space. I looked up at Thomas as I saw him looking at me. I nodded my head and walked off holding back my anger and turning it into sadness. I walked to the kitchen and asked FryPan to make me a sandwich. Once he gave me the sandwich I took one bite and immediately didn't feel like eating it anymore. "Hey you okay?" I looked up and seen Newt. "Yeah" I said while also letting out a sigh. "No your not!" He said taking the sandwich out my hand and continued to eat at it for me. "Let me guess....hmmmm.....Boy problems!" He said with squinted eyes. I sighed then layed my head on his shoulders trying to fight back the tears. "Yeah" I said assuring him that he was right. It's just that, I really like Thomas and well I-I-I thought he liked me too. I mean I'm sure he does but I guess I'm just jealous. Newt took another bite of the sandwich and nodded. "Well it's obvious that you and Thomas is in love with each other and it's good to be jealous. Being Jealous shows that person that you love then so much and that your afraid to lose them. But you also need to have trust in him." I looked up at Newt and smiled. Your good with words! He smiled then sat up. "Get some sleep!" he said while walking off towards him and Rayna's bedroom.

Thomas POV

When I walked up the ladder to the new girl she was holding a knife. I held my hands up letting her know I wasn't going to try and hurt her. Listen I know you're confused and can't Remember anything, but it happens to all of us. And your name, your name will come back to you in a day or two. "Kashonna!" Huh? "My name is Kashonna!" I squinted my eyes trying to think of what to say next. Well umm..umm... well that's not umm.... that's that's good! It's good that you know your name. Well I'm Thomas, but It seems like you already know that. She looked away. "They said that I was saying your name in my sleep! Who are you?" Well I-I-I don't know actually. I can't remember, none of us can remember. We all woke up here just like you. I slowly reached for the knife and once I grabbed ahold of it she let me slowly take it. I sighed then sat it to the side out of her reach. "What's going on up there is she coming down?" I heard Gally yell from down there. I looked at here and she shook her head no. Umm listen can you guys just give us some time, please.? All of them looked at each other then Rayna tapped Gally on his shoulder. "C'mon everyone you heard him." Once everyone started to walk off I sat back down and gave her my full attention. She pulled the note out her pocket and read it out loud. "She's the last one ever! What does that mean?" she said looking at me. I don't know, but ever since you and that note came up, that box hasn't gone down. And it just gets everyone scared and worried, especially Gally. "He thinks it's my fault!" Kashonna said looking at Gally. I looked away from Gally then back at her. So you're sure you don't remember anything? "Well I remember water, I remember feeling like I was drowning. I remember me being behind a computer and seeing faces staring at me. I remember a lady that just kept repeating-" Wicked Is Good! I said cutting her off. She looked at me. "Yeah how did you-" Ever since I got here I've been having these dreams and that same lady was there, and so were you and my g-girl-girlfriend i said setting my mind on Akyla. Kashonna looked down as she was caught off guard by the girlfriend comment. "Oh" she said while she held her legs to her chest. I'll see you tomorrow! I walked down the ladder and made my way to Akyla's room. I knocked on the door and then I heard footsteps making their way to the door. As she opened the door I smashed my lips into her's. She wrapped her arms around my neck as I did the same to her waist. I lifted her up so she could wrap her legs around me still not breaking the kiss. I laid her on the bed and then whispered I love you in her ear before I continued.
