Tony pulls back, Henry's back was starting to hurt and it seemed Tony's was too, when Tony pulled back Henry wiped the tears that fell trying to remove the tear tracks.
"Give me a moment." Henry stood up and walked to the kitchen wetting a rag he walks back over to Tony and starts wiping the tear marks, Tony starts leaning into Henry's hands but when he realizes what he's doing he jumps back.
"You can't do that!" Tony gets up and stands in the middle of the kitchen.
"Tones, what are you talking about?" Henry furrowed his brows, face morphing into a confused look.
"This! Be nice to me, you can't just do that and think everything will go back to normal." Tony starts yelling and voice tapers off quietly.
"Tones, I didn't expect things to go back to normal, I just want to be friends again." Henry starts to walk closer to Tony when he took a step back away from Henry.
"Please don't call me that, you don't have the right, you aren't my boyfriend and we certainly aren't friends. You said you wanted to make up for the past but how are we supposed to do that if you haven't even said sorry." Tony lets out a humorless laugh and goes towards the kitchen.
"I am sorry Tony, I should have pushed harder, you were my boyfriend and I should have been there with you instead of wrapped in my studies, because of my stupidness I lost the best thing that's ever happened to me." Henry steps closer to Tony, this time he doesn't back up, Henry tucks a stray hair behind Tony's ear, rubbing his finger over Tony's sideburns, when Tony leans into Henry's hand he doesn't pull back this time.
"I've always been addicted to alcohol but I never realized the worst addiction was to you. Not until a week after we broke up I realized what happened, I lost my parents and I lost you." Henry doesn't say anything he just guides Tony's head towards his chest, a position that was common for them when Tony and Henry were a couple.
"I will always be here if you'll let me." Henry closed his eyes and soaked at this moment, but the moment was ruined when the elevator dinged, Tony pushed himself away from Henry just in time for Rhodey to be walking out.
"Whoa, Henry Callum Oakley! When did you get here?" Rhodey walked over to Henry, who quickly noticed Rhodey had leg braces on, Henry hugged Rhodey carefully.
"I thought you had PT?" Tony asks when Rhodey and Henry broke away from the hug.
"I did, at 3, it's 4:30 now." Henry looked at his watch which sure enough, said 4:30, he felt bad so he sent a quick text to Paxton saying he's sorry for taking so long.
"Did it go well?" Tony asked Rhodey looking at the braces.
"Went okay, getting stronger." Rhodey took the seat that Tony pulled out for him.
"You never answered my question, what is the CEO of Oakley Technologies doing at the Avengers Compound?" Rhodey smirked, Henry must have been the only one who noticed Tony flinched when Rhodey mentioned Avengers.
"Well, I saw the press conference and I thought I would see how you guys are doing." Henry watched Tony out of the corner of his eye making sure he was okay.
"It's good to see you Hen, seriously, it's been too long." Rhodey grinned, Henry couldn't remember the last time he saw Rhodey, the one time he can remember is when Rhodey came to pick up Tony's stuff.
"Way too long, I should probably get going soon. My driver has been waiting downstairs way too long." Henry chuckles.
"Thanks for coming by, you'll have to do it again." Rhodey hugged Henry.
"I'll walk you out," Tony muttered and walked with Henry to the elevator.
"It was good seeing you Tones," Henry said after he pushed the button.
"You too." Tony gives Henry a small smile, Henry steps on to the elevator when It opens.
"Jarvis?" Henry questions when the door closes and the elevator starts moving, Henry gets no response, Henry feels sad, he thought what Rhodey told him about Jarvis wasn't real, but it was, Jarvis is now a human.
Henry sees Pepper at the desk downstairs watching him, Henry doesn't talk to her, he just gives the badge to the receptionist and signs out.
He can see Paxton waiting outside the car right in front of the door.
"Here you go, sir." Paxton opens the door for Henry and closes it when he gets in.
"How'd it go, Sir?" Paxton asks Henry looking at him in the mirror.
"As expected, we cried, almost kissed, had some moments." Henry huffs looking out the window.
"Do you still have feelings for him?" Paxton asks keeping his eyes on the road.
"Of course I do, they never went away. Why did you think I never had anyone over?" Henry scoffs at the question.
"Thought you might have been going celibate or something boss." Paxton jokes but Henry doesn't laugh.
They drive back to the tower in awkward silence, Paxton not wanting to talk again in fear of upsetting Henry and Henry is just too upset to talk.
As they pull into the garage of the Tower when Paxton opens Henry's door, he wordlessly gets out and goes straight to the elevator.
"Are you okay Sir?" IAN asks Henry when he gets to the top floor, his home.
"No, I fucked up," Henry muttered into the couch cushions that he faceplanted on to.
"Why do you think that?" IAN asks.
"I went to see Tony and I remembered why I stayed away," Henry says with no emotion in his voice, he walked towards his room and got underdressed.
Gulping his opened his nightstand and opened his polaroid book Tony got him, running his fingers over the gold lettering that said T + H, Always.
He slowly opened it and looked at the pictures he took, from every night Tony and Him would stay up studying, and every date, it was all documented.
