These last few years have changed a lot for Henry and Tony, one big thing is that they've gotten married. They're both aware that it was a really quick decision but they knew that they shouldn't waste any more time, because of their marriage Henry brought up the idea of merging their companies. It took a while for Tony to agree not because he thought they would divorce but because Tony would mess this up which when Henry found that out he couldn't help but be upset.
After a few nights of Henry sleeping on the couch as punishment Tony finally agreed so Stark Industries would be called Oakley-Stark Industries which the tabloids had some things to say about the merging but Henry nor Tony didn't care because the two of them were happy.
"What are you thinking about?" Henry jumped when he felt Tony squeeze his hand, Henry let out a soft laugh before grabbing Tony's hand and squeezing it. "Us, in the last few years so much has changed. Instead of being scared, I'm happy, and I'm excited for what's the come." Henry leaned in and kissed Tony on the nose making his face scrunch up.
Tony huffed as he laid on his back facing the ceiling, he still hasn't let go of Henry's hand and he wasn't planning to. "Do you still got the appointment with Alex Green-Strange?" Henry asks gently, one of the things that have changed is Tony has started to see a psychologist more often which led to asking Alex if he would like to work in the Avengers Compound full time, surprisingly he agreed. "I do, thank you for encouraging me to go see him." Tony smiled as he brought their joined hands to his mouth and pressed a kiss to Henry's hand.
"Of course, that's what a good husband does," Henry says chuckling as he rolls into a sitting position ignoring Tony's protests as they have to stop holding hands now, Tony wasn't the only one who sees Alex. Whoever signed the accords it was mandatory and any of the partners of the Avengers could go see Alex and everything was confidently, as much as General Ross tried to get a judge to allow him to read the records, Tony fought hard against that and won.
Henry grabbed his phone that was on his bedside table charging and tapped it on, he smiled when it greeted him. When the company had merged they had decided to split the programming so in the Avengers Compound it was F.R.I.D.A.Y with I.A.N's additional coding and on their phones and tablets they alternated but they all had a combination of both I.A.N and F.R.I.D.A.Y's software in whatever they put out.
As he walked to the kitchen Henry looked to see if he had any messages and found he got one from Paxton who he had rehired a little bit prior because his old job had fallen through so Henry had jumped at the opportunity to ask Paxton to work with him again but this time he was under the company plan that they had made which had loads of benefits and considering his son Dex was a superhero by the name of Torch-Lighter, Paxton was double covered.
Henry walked over to the stove and turned it on while he grabbed a pan, he could hear the start of the shower running so he knew that Tony had decided to take a quick shower before breakfast. Cracking the egg into the pan he titled his head. "F.R.I, have we heard anything from Natasha or Maria lately?" Henry hums as he waits for F.R.I.D.A.Y's answer. "No Mr. Oakley, you haven't got a response from your last message which was sent last week." henry pressed his lips together as he tried to not be worried.
"Still nothing from Nat or Maria?" Tony says walking into the kitchen as he was drying his hair with a towel. "No, radio silence but I'm hoping that's because they're busy trying to rescue the victims of Project Snake and the victims of the Black Widow program, and not they're dead." Tony scoffed loudly. "As if you can kill Natasha, plus with Maria's power." Tony shook his head as he walked over to Tony and kissed him on the cheek. "They're fine, they will check-in when they feel like they want to." Henry was about to comment how not concerned Tony is asking when he suddenly realizes why.
"You've been watching them haven't you?" Henry asks with a smile, Tony breaks into a guilty smile. "Of course I have, I know exactly where they are and they are safe. I promise." Tony moves Henry's chin with his hand and kisses him on the lips softly before they separate and Tony walks back towards their room to put the towel in the bathroom hamper.
Right when henry was plating their food Tony came back from the room fully clothed and hair dried, Henry couldn't help but smile when he saw him. "What's got you so smiley?" Tony chuckled slightly as Henry pulled out his chair for him so Tony shook his head fondly as he took a seat. "Just you, being so cute." Tony looked away so no doubt that his cheeks got hot which Henry always took as he did his job as a husband correctly.
"What are your plans for today Hen?" Tony asks as he brings a forkful of eggs to his mouth. "Well, the board is making me go to a meeting today since you're busy." Henry rolled his eyes but Tony knew it was just teasing and not in a mean manner. "Better you than me." Tony fondly says looking at Henry.
"God, I can't believe this is our life." Henry reaches over and grabs Tony's hand and squeezes it comfortingly. "I feel so happy but I'm scared someone is going to take it away." Henry knew that Tony was scared but Henry tried to alleviate those fears. "Talk to Alex about it, alright?"
Tony nodded and they continued to finish eating.
