Tony had left early this morning even before Morgan woke up so he could make it to the Avengers Compound, Henry wasn't prepared to see how Morgan reacted but Henry had plans to take her mind off Tony not being there. Henry let out a sigh as he glanced at the clock on top of the stove, he let out a groan when he discovered that it was almost time for Morgan to wake up.

Henry was already tired and he hasn't even made it a couple of hours yet, Tony had told him that he would make it back tonight but Henry wasn't so sure about that so he didn't hold hope. He had a feeling that Tony would get roped into going on this time travel mission with the rest of the team and that scared Henry, but he knew that he had to support Tony so that's what he was going to do. He would keep his phone on and wait for any calls, good or bad.

He jolted to attention when he heard soft footsteps walking down the stairs, he turned his head from his spot at the kitchen island and watched with a smile as Morgan sleepily started to walk down the stairs, she rubbed her eyes as she walked over to Henry and raised her arms to be picked up. "Is my darling still sleepy?" Henry questions as he picks her up and places her on the island, she nods as she wraps her arms around his neck and lays her head on his shoulder.

"Where's Daddy?" Morgan asks voice muffled slightly from her place in Henry's neck, Henry inhaled sharply before blowing it out. He pulled her back so she was no longer hiding in his neck and placed her back on the kitchen island. "He had to do some business at the compound, but he should be back soon." Henry hoped that he wasn't lying, Morgan pressed her lips together before she reached up and started to rub her eyes. Henry brushed a hand over her face trying to get her hair out of her eyes before he kissed her on the nose, she giggled slightly before gesturing to be held again.

"What do you want for breakfast?" Henry diverted the topic when he realized Morgan wasn't going to bring up Tony again, she hummed as she held onto his neck when Henry scooted his chair back to start to get up. "A fry up?" Morgan suggested as Henry led them to the fridge and grabbed the eggs. "How about we do a smaller one since Daddy isn't here?" Henry suggests gently, she nods as he walks towards the freezer with Morgan still in his arms and looks at what they have. "Sausage or Bacon?" Henry asks turning his head to Morgan who hummed and placed her finger on her chin as she was thinking. "Bacon!" Morgan cheered, Henry chuckled as he grabbed the bacon from the freezer and shut the door with his elbow.

"Now, you sit here and don't touch the stove darling," Henry instructed after he placed Morgan on the counter, he bent down and grabbed a pot before putting it on the stove with low heat, he reached into the overhead cabinets and grabbed one of the cans of beans. He chuckled to himself as he thought of what his mother would say if she saw him now, she was the type of woman who always insisted on using fresh beans for breakfast and never used canned saying that they tasted worse but as a father, Henry was on a time crunch.

He popped open the can before handing it to Morgan, she took it and carefully poured the beans into the pot. "Good job." Henry praised raising his hand for a high-five, she giggled before slapping his hand, he took the can and placed it on the kitchen island so he can throw it away later. "Now, this will pop so scoot back," Henry warned as he started to open the bacon, he watched to of the corner of his eye Morgan nod seriously before scooting towards the sink, Henry held his breath as she almost hit her head on the shelf but she missed it by a couple of inches which made Henry let out a sigh of relief.

Henry looked at the now sizzling bacon and Morgan, he was afraid that she would get hurt. "Why don't you go brush your teeth and then come back down?" Henry walked over to Morgan and picked her up before pressing a kiss to her hair and placing her gently down on the floor. "Okay! Are we gonna feed Gerald today?" Morgan rocks back on her feet as Henry moves back over to stand in front of the stove. "We are, but first we have to get fed. We don't want to be grumpy do we?" Henry let out a playful roar like a lion, it made Morgan squeal and run up the stairs quickly, Henry shook his head at his daughter's antics.

He looked toward the shelf that was on the wall by the sink, he gulped when he saw the photo of Tony and Peter together. His eyes drift towards the photo of Howard, Henry let out a sigh before running his hand through his hair and looked back down to the cooking bacon. He walked over and ripped off a paper towel before carefully placing the bacon on the paper towel to catch the excess grease. Henry opened the egg carton and cracked three eggs in the pan, he turned the heat down when he saw that the eggs were cooking too fast.

He quickly checked out the beans and gave a slight smile when he saw they were almost finished, and it was perfect timing too because Morgan chose that time to walk down the stairs. "Is breakfast almost ready?" Morgan asked as she walked over to stand next to Henry. Henry nods instead of answering, he grabs two plates from overhead and starts to plate the breakfast carefully, Morgan leads them to the dining table and holds up her fork when Henry places the plate down.
