                        *The Next Day*

I woke up laying on the bundle of blankets I had laid out the first day I slept here. I sat up, looking around the room and saw Kole emotionless body still sleeping on his bed. I sighed, still wondering at how I was going to get out of this. I flopped back down, my back landing with a thud on my blankets. What on earth am I going to do. I inquire to myself. I flopped around to my stomach, moving my arms beneath my chin. I turned my gaze back up to Kole and watched him as he silently slept. I sighed and sat up once more, and moved silently over to my bag, pulling out the clothes I have worn for the last year. I slipped off my pjs, and slipped on my clothes and idea forming in my head. A small, hidden smile appeared on my face and I threw my clothes into my bag. I heard creaking metal, and turned around to see Kole crawling out of his bed. "I was thinking you weren't going to wake up." I teased, even though I knew that I wouldn't get the reply I wanted. His gaze passed right over me, leaping off his bed moving over to his dresser to pick out some clothes. I sighed once more, and flopped down on the chair watching him change into his clothes.

"I'll bring you some food." Kole says. He remembered I'm still here. I thought bitterly, nodding as he walked out of the room. I spin around, and see his computer sitting on his desk. I pull myself towards the desk, and open up the computer. I tapped my fingers along the keyboard thinking of what I should research.

'Expierment Labs GatlinBerg' I type in, and click enter. I scrolled through the results seaching for anything that might be useful. I smirked, and clicked a link and read what came up.

As I scrolled past the third one, a flare of regonition lit my eye. I stood up and went over to a stack of papers on Kole's dresser, and searched through them looking for what I wanted. "Aha!" I exclaimed as I pulled out the sheet of paper. My eyes scanned the paper and at the very bottom it had a tiny note saying Mark Dooley- 1023 2nd ViewDrive 86548 I smirked, then heard footsteps coming down the hall. I quickly stuck the paper back and closed the laptop screen, exiting out my tab and sat back on the chair making it look like I never moved.

"I brought you a bowl of cereal." Kole said, handing me the bowl of cereal. I nodded, taking the bowl from him. "I have to get to school, see you tonight." I scoffed as he left the room, then spun the chair 35 degrees to the computer to turn on some music while I wait for the right moment to leave. As the browser opened, I finished eating my cereal. A few minutes later I had gotten to this...music place called Pandora  and clicked 'Most Popular Hits'.

You stand with your hand on my waist line
It's a scene and we're out here in plain sight
I can hear them whisper as we pass by
It's a bad sign, bad sign
Something happens when everybody finds out
See the vultures circling dark clouds
Love's a fragile little flame, it could burn out
It could burn out

Cause they got the cages, they got the boxes
And guns

I turned my tilted my head as I listened to the song, and stiffened I heard the next lyrics.

They are the hunters, we are the foxes
And we run
I let out a soft chuckle as I listened to those lyrics, It's like this song is written for me. I thought to myself, letting myself relax as I listened to the rest of the song.

Baby, I know places we won't be found
And they'll be chasing their tails tryin' to track us down
Cause I, I know places we can hide
I know places, I know places

Lights flash and we'll run for the fences
Let them say what they want, we won't hear it
Loose lips sink ships all the damn time
Not this time

Just grab my hand and don't ever drop it
My love
They are the hunters, we are the foxes
And we run

Baby, I know places we won't be found
And they'll be chasing their tails tryin' to track us down
Cause I, I know places we can hide
I know places

They are the hunters, we are the foxes
And we run

Once the song had ended, I let out a soft sigh. I looked at the clock and realized it had only been a few minutes since Kole had left the room. I stood up, padding softly over to the bundle of blankets, and I picked them up throwing them into the closet.

After an hour of listening to more music and doing other random things, I looked at the time and saw it was almost the perfect time to leave. I looked around Kole's room, looking for the piece of paper that had this Mark Dooley's address on it. Once I had found it I grabbed it quickly, and I climbed out the window. I raced out to the forest before snapping open my wings, beating them hard to get up to the sky. I soared through the air, making sure I am able to see the signage below. Flying quickly, my search for the street was done in 30 minutes. I took a deep breath, breathing in the cool crisp air as  I watched the yellow mustang pull away from the house, and with one flap of my wings I was heading downward towards the grass. I landed on the ground, quickly retracting my wings so no one saw them, and I headed towards the slightly cracked window on the first floor. I cupped my hands around my face, pressing my face against the window searching the room before opening the window, no more than it actually was. I squeezed through the small gap I had created, landing on the soft carpet beneath the window. I stayed low to the ground, watching carefully so that I wouldn't be seen incase someone was still in the house. I sniffed the air, regonizing the scent I had grown to fear.

Anesthetic.

I crept around a corner, opening the door that had the stongest scent of that smell. Staying close to the ground I crept down the stairs and came to an open room filled with tools. My eyes flickered around the room,my blood racing through my vains with fear, searching for what may seem like the container of emotions. As my gaze fluttered over to a table in the corner, I saw a vile of liquid sitting on the desk. I padded softly over to the vile, and lifted it up in my hands. I smiled softly, and than heard a creak of the stairs. My breath caught in my throat, as my gaze swept swiftly across the room trying to find some place to hide. As my eyes came to a cupboard on the other side of the room I saw a door. I ran swiftly over to the tiny door, and squeezed myself into the small compartment. I closed the door, keeping my breath calm and silent. I heard footsteps coming near my hiding place, and I held my breath. Straining my ears, I listened to the clanking of glasses and liquids from above me. I closed my eyes, and prayed a silent prayer, wishing the other person to get out of the room. I let my head droop towards my knee, and rested my forehead against my knee. Please go away soon. I thought, hoping my luck was good and I wasn't found. After what felt like eternities, I heard the footsteps walk away from the cupboard I was hiding in, and up the stairs. I let out a deep breath of relief, and pushed the door as light as I could, and peered around into my surrounding before racing out of the house.

A/n Sorry this took so long to write. I had the perfect idea, but of course, COULD NOT FIND A WAY TO WRITE IT DOWN!! But hope you like it ^-^ Credit to Taylor Swift for the song I used in the chapter. I recently got her newest album and when I first learned the lyrics of "I Know Places', I was like, "This would be so brilliant if I was able to use this in my story!" So I am very glad I could find a way to use that song in this chapter. VOTE COMMENT SHARE!
