Chapter Nine

A/n If you guys are wanting more action right now, don't worry. I'll be getting back to Destiny's main storyline soon, I just really wanted you guys to know a bit more about Kole and his life ^-^ And if you wondering what Kole looks like the picture above is him. 

                                *Destiny's POV*

        As I sat on the ground, with Kole's head on my leg, I fiddled with his shaggy brown hair in my fingers. He's so handsome. I thought, as I studied his features. Suddenly, Kole's body shifted, and his eyelid's fluttered then then opened, and his eletric green eyes met mine.  "Feeling better." I murmured.

"A bit, stomach still hurts like hell, but not much I can do about that." He chuckled, then winced. 

"Did the advil do nothing at all?" I ask, looking at his bruised cheek. He shook his head, shifting his body to get in a more comfortable position. 

"How long have I been out?" He asks. 

"Well...I got here when the sun was setting, and now it is dark out so about an hour or so." I reply, looking out the window to the dark sky. 

"I missed dinner." He whined. I chuckled, and messed up his already messy hair. 

"I guess so." I chuckled. His face dropped into a pout, "Well if you put a shirt on and get off my leg you could go get some." I tease. He looked down at his exposed stomach then back up to my story grey eyes. 

"Or I just get off you leg." He suggested, winking at me. I rolled my eyes, and helped him sit up. 

"How much does it hurt sitting up?" I ask, seeing him wince in pain. 

"Imagine hell." He muttered. 

"Ok it's decided, I am going out to get you some dinner and you stay here wallowing in self-pity." I stated, standing up.

"What if my mom sees you?" He inquired.

"I've spent my whole life running, I think I can hide from your mundane mother." I say, leaving him to comteplate what I just said. I walk stealthily into the kitchen, and grab a knife, bread, and some random topping for sandwich. I sneak back to his room, and look at what I grabbed. Peanut Butter and Jelly..yummy I think to myself as I push open his door. "So I grabbed some peanut butter and jelly if that's alright." I say turning around, facing the beaten up boy. 

"That sounds good." He mumbles. I sit down next to him, and open up the stuff and start making some sandwiches. "What did you mean by 'I've been running my whole life'?" He asked after a little bit. My shoulders sag slightly, waiting a bit before replying, comtemplating on how I should reply.

"Well being a mutant girl isn't always the best life." I say choosing my words carefully "So since I escaped from the place I came from 7 years ago, the people who created me are always wanting to cage me back up and expierment some more, so even now sitting in this room we could both be in danger." I finish, avoiding Kole's gaze. After a minute of silence, I flash my eyes up to Kole and see his eyes are studying me carefully. "What?" 

"Your beautiful, you know that?" He says, "Yes I still like Abigal a lot, but to be honest your just beautiful." He adds. 

"Well uh...thanks I guess." I stutter. "Eat your sandwich now." Stuffing the sandwich in his face, and Kole lets out a laugh.

"Alright Alright." HE says chuckling. I flash a grin towards him, and eats the sandwich I made for myself. 

"THat was delicious." I uttered, my mouth still full with the last bite of the sandwich. I heard a small laugh from beside, and I swung my head staring at Kole, my eyes full of question.
