Chapter 2: Green and Yellow

"Haggar... " Allura whispered

The paladins observed from a distance, knowing what the witch was capable of. Sweat started rolling down their faces, allura's breathing was getting shallow and her eyes wide

Suddenly, a cold chill ran down their spine. No, it's just really cold here

They turned to lance who was overflowing with ice magic, cold fog formed under the Cuban's feet. His eyes were wide and his pupils were sliited, he readied his magic to attack.

"Lance, calm down for a second" Shiro said grabbing the cuban's shoulder

Lance turned to look at shiro, his eyes screamed murder. Lance was bloodthirsty, shiro retracted his arm from lance and stared at the mage.

His eyes widened at shiro's reactions, he took a deep breath and the fog disappeared.

"Let's retreat for now. " Allura said as she walked quietly back to the direction of their camp

Lance gave a sound of annoyance as he followed the paladins back to their base, not having much of a choice.

'Lance? ' blue asked

He looked at his partner and softly pet her head

'I'm fine blue, sorry for worrying you're lance replied

'If you say so, I'll go check on the princess.' Blue said speeding up to allura's side

A lion's roar echoed on the distance, another followed. Shadows emerged from the fog, and then-

"Lance wake up! We need to move! " Keith said shaking lance

"Alright I'm up, stop shaking me. " Lance said getting up walking outside to wash his face and wore his uniform

"We don't have a horse for lance though, should he double with somebody? I'm pretty sure he can't join allura in the carriage though, I doubt Keith will let him since lance is new. " Pidge asked

"Oh hey lance! I have some food in this pouch, here eat up." Hunk said handing a brown pouch to lance

"Thanks a lot hunk, whatcha guys talking about? " Lance asked

"Lance do you mind riding a horse with somebody? We are kinda short on horses. " Coran said

"I can ride blue, she can kids her wings and riding lions isn't uncommon when travelling. " Lance said

"She can do that? " Hunk asked

"Yeah, I'll ask blue if she's okay with it though" Lance said calling blue

'Did you need something? ' blue asked

'Hey beautiful, do you mind travelling by foot? We can't exactly expose you while travelling.' Lance replied

Blue happily agreed and hid her wings, now she looks like a normal blue female lion, lance hopped on her back and they were on their way.

They were following the road in front of them when two galra men appeared in front of the town gates

"What's your buisness here? " One of them asked

"We're travelling merchants. " Shiro answered grabbing something in his pocket and showing it to the galra

Everyone had long cloaks and masks to cover their faces and uniforms, they were let in and the team decided to stay for a while for gather resources before heading out again early in the morning tomorrow, it was around noon so we had a lot of time.

Lance was inside his hotel room alone, the other went to gather resources and pidge was in her own room. Blue went with the princess after she asked lance, he looked outside the window watching people pass by.
