Remus was in his room, sprawled out on his bed, staring up at his ceiling. His eyes were half-closed, his face looking love-struck. He had a small genuine smile, an uncommon expression for Remus. "...J... What would he think of me...?" He mumbled to himself, imagining several scenarios, all of which were about Janus having a bad reaction to his confession. Not feeling the same way. Laughing in his face. His smile faltered as he sighed, turning over on the bed, now facing his room.
He shrieked as he was met with Janus' scaled face. Janus backed up slightly, standing up from his kneeling position on the floor. "So..." He began, his tone sugary sweet, the voice that always soothed Remus' concerns. "You were thinking about me?"
Remus blushed, hiding his face in his hands while he nodded slightly. Janus gently took away his hands, holding them in his own, staring into Remus' eyes. Remus instantly calmed down from his eyes alone. "I think about you too. Sometimes as a friend, mostly as a boyfriend, and sometimes..." His eyes flicked to a place Remus never thought they would. Remus stammered a little before getting out his words. "I-I... Oh my god, you really feel the same way? Really?" He asked in disbelief. Janus gave him an enchanting smile, nodding slightly. His eyes flicked again, a silent question. "I-I... uh... I don't know if I'm ready, I just... I want my first time with someone that isn't one of my creations to be... special, you know?" Janus frowned a little, an expression that almost made Remus reconsider, but he held his ground. "I'm sorry, J, soon. At the right time." Janus sighed. "Alright... for now, would you like to tell the others?" It was barely a question, his voice able to convince Remus of almost anything. Remus nodded. They both sank out to the light side's living room where they were all gathered, still holding hands. "Careful, J, he might have rabies." Roman joked upon seeing them so close. Janus rolled his eyes. "He doesn't have rabies, he has my heart." The room went silent. "...You have a heart...?" Virgil mumbled, giving Janus a sceptical glare. Remus glared back. "Yes, he does! Anyway, you have no room to talk, not with what you did to us." Virgil turned away, putting his headphones back on as he turned his attention to his phone. "Congratulations, you two! When's the marriage?" Patton joked. "Soon, I hope." Janus replied non-sarcastically. Remus blushed, smiling. "Yeah, I'm happy for you too. Take care of him, 'kay?" Roman asked. Janus nodded. "Don't worry, I will." They sank out, leaving the others.
With the light sides
"Well, that's a shitty situation." Virgil spoke up, taking back off his headphones.
"Virgil, language! Also, what do you mean? They're happy."
Virgil raised an eyebrow. "Happy? Really? Remus is a madman and Janus is an asshole. The only outcome of this is chaos."
"I've never seen Remus happier. He didn't look mad to me. I think that even if you're right, they'll cancel each other out, it'll result in less chaos." Roman responded.
Virgil paused for a second before sighing. "...I guess you're right. He did look noticeably calmer."
