Chapter 16

No one pov

A week passed by in a blink of an eye,today is the day for their second date and tanjirou is excited. He felt so excited that he literally fall of the bed because his feet got tangle up with the blanket. His face kisses the floor and he groan in pain. He slide off the bed by crawling forward and untangle his bed along the way by kicking away the blanket. He stood up before he stretch and let out a sigh as his body relax. He made his way to the bathroom across his bedroom,towel wrapping around his neck as if it's a scarf. And that's how he start his day.

Once he's done taking a shower,he step out of the bathroom. Body fully clothed with the towel on his -still- wet hair. He ruffle his hair using the towel,wanting to dry it as he turn the doorknob of his bedroom. He stand Infront of a mirror that's located beside his desk with lot of books on top of it. He stare at his reflection and send it a wide smile before he shake his head and turn around to the closet that's not to far behind him. He pull open the closet and started to search for his favourite hoodie and black pants while humming some song under his breath. The wide smile still intact on his face.

He stand Infront the mirror once again and twirl a little to see if it decent enough for his date today. He 'hum' in satisfaction and take a comb from his desk drawer. Just as he was about to comb his hair,his eyes caught a calendar on the mirror reflection which is on top of a small table? Beside his bed. It already Jun.

"Just one more month and it's my birthday.."

He said with a soft smile,his eyes glued to the calendar. Oh how much he wanted to time to speed up but he knew he couldn't,the only thing he can do is wait. Tanjirou focus himself in the mirror and started to comb his hair,even though it's look messy as ever since his hair is untamable. He huff and pout, it's been ten minutes he stand Infront of the mirror to try tame his hair and it's still look the same. Finally he gave up. He let out a sigh and put down the comb before he take his wristwatch and purse that fill with his phone,earphone,money,I.D card and other things he usually carry with him when going out.

He step outside of his bedroom and turn to look around inside his bedroom,trying to think of anything that he might forget since he's the type of person that would forget things last minute or already out of the house when he suddenly remembered he forgot something important such as his phone. He look up and down,gear in his head turn,eyes narrow trying really hard to remember. Than suddenly a shiny thing caught his eyes. His gaze fall on his lower drawer and he tilt his head to the side in wonder what it is,since he pretty sure that the lower drawer is where he put his socks and boxer. He re-enter the room and pulling the drawer to see a pretty necklace with a diamond at the middle, dangling from the gold chain. He trace his hand on the necklace to feel all the curved it had and blink his eyes twice. He don't remember having such a thing in his room.

"Is it one of father gift?"

He mutter under his breath,his father would always send gift to him and his other siblings every months as you could say repayment since he couldn't be there for them. Tanjirou remember that he lost one of the present inside his room,how? He don't know. 'maybe this is the missing gift,well since it's in my room....'

With a smile tanjirou wrap it around his neck and look down to inspect the pretty necklace,he pull the diamond and twirl it in his hand. It's beautiful.
He stood back up and look around once more before he dash out of his room,he still has a date to catch up!
