No one's POV

It's been a week since that 'nightmare' and Tanjirou hasn't been able to sleep. His body would occasionally jerk or flinch when someone touched him, whether they were friends or not. He was becoming paranoid when he walked to and from school, even while he was at work. Tanjirou would look back from time to time, every few seconds to be exact. Every 5 seconds, he would look behind to make sure no one was following him.

The first people to notice Tanjirou's weird behavior were his little sister, Nezuko, and his alpha, Muzan. Nezuko had noticed her brother had become... scared ever since his outing with his alpha mate. Her fearless brother who would never back down, not even to an alpha, had become scared and paranoid. Can you guess who Nezuko blames for this? That's right. She blames Kibutsuji Muzan, the one who claimed to be Tanjirou's alpha.

Nezuko swears that she'll kick the raven where the sun doesn't shine. That is if she ever gets the chance to, which we all know won't happen anytime soon. However, unbeknownst to Nezuko, the reason why her big brother was like this is not because of the raven.

Unlike Nezuko, Muzan knows the real reason why his omega has been acting that way, and he was furious. That damn blond had got some guts to make his omega feel scared, paranoid, and fear for his safety. Muzan had now doubled the guards he had put on Tanjirou for better protection.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since the nightmare, Muzan has been receiving texts from Tanjirou. These texts would be Tanjirou asking whether or not Muzan was asleep. If Muzan was awake, then Tanjirou would ask if they could video chat with each other. Of course, Muzan being the caring alpha would always accept without any hesitation, even if he was tired due to 'work' and searching for the blond.

This night just so happened to one of those nights.

'Ping!'

It was late at night when Muzan heard the 'ping' that let him know he had gotten a text from someone. Muzan, who had just come out of the shower, quickly dashed towards his phone, which was on his bedside table. He quickly unlocked it, a small smile appearing on his face when he saw the message was from 'My cute omega 💕'.

From: 'My cute omega 💕'

[Muzan-san, are you asleep yet?]

Muzan read the text with a smile still on his face while he replied.

From: 'Muzan'

[Nope, do you want to video chat tonight as well?]

He pressed 'send' and threw his phone on his bed before he quickly walked towards his walk-in closet. He decided to put on a plain white shirt and some light blue pajama pants. When he finished changing, he walked back to his bed with a towel on his, drying his slightly curly hair. Using the towel, he ruffled his hair while leaning down to pick up his phone. As if on cue, there was another 'ping!'.

From: 'My cute omega 💕'

[Yes, please! 😣]

The smile on Muzan's face widened as he tapped the 'back' button and tapped the phone icon. He quickly searched for his omega's number and hit the video call button. Muzan laid down on his bed with his back propped up against the bed frame, his hips laying on his soft pillow.

Meanwhile, with Tanjirou, he had perked up his head when his alpha's name popped up on his phone. He answered the call with a small smile, his eyes having dark circles under them, just showing how tired he was. All of the nightmares kept waking him up, tonight being one of them. However, it was always the same nightmare.

A handsome-looking man appeared on the red-headed boy's phone. When he answered the phone, Tanjirou tiredly smiled at him.

"Hi, Muzan-san. Sorry for disturbing you again so late at night." Tanjirou said with a little yawn. He refused to sleep after the dream he had before calling the raven.

"Another nightmare?" The raven questioned with one eyebrow raised. Tanjirou answered with a nod.

"Do you mind telling me what it was about this time?"

Tanjirou stayed quiet, debating whether or not he should tell the raven about the dream. If he did, he would need to inform the raven about the encounter with the mysterious blond-looking man. The blond somehow knew his name even though Tanjirou doesn't remember meeting the blond before. Tanjirou never told anyone about his nightmares because to him it wasn't a big deal at first. Then, he started having the same nightmare multiple times that looked too... real. They are just too real to be a simple nightmare, and Tanjirou began to doubt himself. He started to become scared and paranoid. The reason why? He doesn't know, but Tanjirou always felt like someone was watching him but didn't know who. The blond man came to his mind and hoped he was wrong.

With a tired sigh, Tanjirou told the raven about his nightmare.

~Nightmare~

Tanjirou's POV {WARNING! Read at your own risk!}

It started with me walking into the woods at night, alone. I don't know why I was walking there, but I was. I was walking in the woods for what felt like an hour before my surroundings suddenly turned black. The woods had disappeared and was replaced with darkness with a small light at the end of it. Following my instincts at that moment, I started walking closer to the light. The closer I got, the bigger the light had become, and when I reached the end, I saw a small cottage with the door opened slightly. From there, I could see a red liquid on the ground, which led to the front door. I didn't want to go, but my feet just started to move until I was at the door. Slowly, I peeked inside, and what I saw made me sick to my stomach.

THERE WERE TWO BODIES TIED UP TO A CHAIR.

A BLACK LIKE SMOKE BLURRING THEIR STOMACHS AND FACES.

A BLOND HAIRED MAN STANDING THERE.

A SICKENING SMILE ON HIS FACE.

A BLOODY KNIFE IN HIS HAND.

He then came up to me and whispered, "Ah, Tanjirou. My love. You shouldn't be here." He had the bloody knife up to my cheek, my eyes already wide open in horror at the scene.

I looked at the knife that began slowly cutting my cheek. A drop of blood fell, and the man chuckled in amusement when he felt the blood drip onto his hand and slid down.

"Too bad." the man said.

~end of nightmare~

"Then I woke up covered in sweat. I feel guilty, as if... as if it was my fault they died in such a horrible way."
