From a Trio to a Quartet

God fathers and Sick babies part 2

PSA the plan was to not make this a two parter, but I think it was getting way too long, so I broke it up into two parts :)

The plane ride went pretty smoothly, and honestly Austin didn't know why Ally made it such a big deal, because Ava was literally an angel the entire flight. Maybe because it was quick, but maybe because Ava is getting a bit older now; but anyways, he couldn't wait to get on the phone and brag to Ally.

" you ready??" He asked Ava
Ava lifts her arms up so her father could pick her up and they make their way to baggage claim " we're gonna see grandma and grandpa and everyone else when we get off!! Are you excited? He asks her
Ava looks at him
" where mommy?" She asked
" I already told you mommys home in California. It's just you and me" he said " should we call her? She'll kill me if I don't"

He takes out his phone and calls her right away
" hi you're alive and I assume my daughter is too" she says " actually I hope"
" Yea Yea, we are both alive and I have something to tell you!!" He said
" hey say hi back" Ally says
" sorry, hi honey" he smiled
" hi.. and I have something to tell you too!" She said
" you first"

" okay.. well I'm pregnant!" Ally teased
" you're WHAT?" His eyes widened
Everyone at the airport looks up
" Ally stop effing with me" he sighs whispering into the phone
" I'm kidding.. but the baby didn't cry! Like at all! It was the quietest car ride ever and I was just getting used to our son screaming his head off.. the silence was deafening! I kept looking back to see if was okay and he was just looking around" she said

" oh wow that's great.. hopefully it stays that way.." he said
" uuuuh I know" she sighs " but let's not jinx it, I have to pick up Trish and magnolia she needs a ride to the doctor hopefully he won't cry then too.."

" hopefully, but guess who was a perfect angel the entire flight?" He smiles looking at ava
" uhhh I don't know your secret child I don't know about" she joked
" ally she was perfect, we watched a show and she was quite and so good" he said
" I don't believe it" she said
" I'm so serious" he said
" lucky you" she said " let me talk to my girl"
He hands over the phone to Ava

Ava started smiling
" mom dad!" He said looking up
Mimi and Mike walked over to him
" hi!!" Mimi said " how was the flight?"
" great!!" He said hugging his mom
" hi Ava" Mimi said
" she's talking to her mother" he says
" hey you two!" Mike said
" hey dad!!" Austin said
" let's get your things and head out" Mimi said
" okay, let me just say by to Ally" he takes the phone from Ava
" NOOO my MOMMY" she whined
" sorry sorry.. okay bye Alls love you and kiss the baby for me"
" I love you too.. you can give her the phone back" ally laughs

" MOMMY.. DADDY!!! PHONE!!" Ava cried
" are you tattletaling on me??" He looks at her

" my two favorite girls!!" Ally says to Trish rolling her car window down
" hi hi now come help" Trish said
" why do you have so much stuff!!" Ally says getting out of the car
" because my baby is seeing the doctor for the first time since she was born I HAVE to be prepared" Trish said
" so you brought a suitcase" Ally said
" no the suit case is for your house I'm spending the weekend" Trish said
"wait what about Chuck" Ally said
" what about the asshole?" Trish rolls her eyes " we need time apart.. we've been fighting non stop mostly because lack of sleep, but besides that, he went off on a business trip not even a week after our daughter was born" she says as she put the baby seat in the car " thus the fight"

" why would we do that? He should be on paternity leave, you know help you with the baby and stuff cause he's you know her father? Your fiancé?" Ally said getting in

" I know! I told him not to go.. but then we got into a fight and so he's gone.. it's for the best maybe we'll cool off.. so I guess we're spending the weekend with you if It's okay" Trish said
" of course it's okay.. it's just me and Alex too since both Austin and Ava are gone for the weekend" Ally said " but man.. even though I have little to no context can I call Chuck a jerk?"
" you have permission." Trish said
" the jerk!! What kind of man picks up and leaves his daughter and fiancé like that?? You just had a baby?? What the fuck??? The asshole" Ally rants
