do not berate yourself for the way your mind decides to process your trauma

sometimes the weight of the world is against your chest

do not force yourself to carry that weight if it crushed the breath from your lungs

you are allowed to be and do and participate and fall back as you please

it is not your job to apologise for the ways in which you take care of yourself

it is not your job to take on the emotions of others

your emotions and feelings and pain and exhaustion are enough

you are enough

and you don't owe anyone an explanation for the ways in which you tried to kill your sadness
