Boss Battles

Chapter 1

"You sure about this?" a teenager asked his friend. They were both standing at the top of a staircase on a mountain. The younger yet slightly taller teenager looked towards his older friend and flashed a assuring smile. "Of course, now you stall them while I come in with support" the younger one said while he patted his shoulder. The younger one then teleported away.

"Well..... this isn't his worst idea. But god dang he better be quick with it or else I'm dead" the older one thought. His name was Themy and the younger one was Alfred. Alfred asked Themy to help him fight this opponent. They weren't bad, but they needed to prove their strength and power. And in order to do that was to beat the two and the other eight bosses.

Themy looked down the staircase and saw the silhouette of the opponent approaching fast like they're running up the stairs. Themy decided to take his place at the other end where he would face them.He heard the last few steps being climbed and heavy breathing. He turned around and faced his opponent.

"So what's your name kid? And why have you come here?" Themy asked the mysterious stranger. They looked up to see their challenge and smirked. They stood up and cracked their neck. They got into a battle stance as they spoke. "Name's Hum and I came here to beat you and move onto the next boss."

"Hmph, me and my friends have defeated many champions before. What makes you so different?" Themy asked Hum. Hum flashed a smirk and replied "Because I'm strong and determined to beat you guys." Themy raised a eyebrow and went back to his emotionless stare and said his only response. "I heard that many times before, let's see if you're the real deal."

Hum sped after Themy at fast speeds, but Themy knew he was faster and he dodged his attacks. He then created a shield in case he does get hit. Alfred better hurry up or else he won't last very long. Hum continued his assault against Themy, each blow becoming stronger each time.

Hum finally landed a blow on Themy but he hit the shield causing it to break and push Themy back a good distance. Themy looked at the broken shield and back at Hum. He wore a impressed look and complimented Hum. "Not bad, you're pretty strong and fast. But not as fast as me."

Themy then made a shadow sword and disappeared. Hum was surprised and realized Themy was behind him. He crouched and avoided the swing of the blade that would've sliced right through him. Hum recovered and proceeded to try to land blows while also trying to avoid strikes from Themy. Themy was blocking the punches with his sword and tried to slice at Hum.

Suddenly Themy struck Hum and Hum fell to the ground and turned to dust. Themy looked at the pile of dust confused. Then a bright light blinded him as he shielded his eyes. Then the light was gone and Hum emerged from it. Themy was impressed and smirked. "So you also have the ability to cheat death? Not bad, guess that means I have to kill you again." Both opponents ready themselves for another fight and launched towards eachother.
