Boss Battles

Chapter 5

Alfred teleported back to where Themy and Hum were. And just in time as they both just woke up. Themy asked Alfred where he went in which he replied with 'just going for a walk.' Themy knew that was a lie but he didn't want to press any further.

Alfred told the two that they have to go so Hum can fight the next boss. Alfred was calm and collected on the outside but in truth, he was panicking on the inside. He doesn't want Jay to get hurt. He loves her too much to see her get hurt. But he can't interfere with the battle unless Hum needed it.

So they got on the move and while they were walking, Alfred pulled Hum back to talk with him. "Listen... the next boss you're gonna fight is someone I love dearly. If you hurt her too much or kill her, I will personally make sure your life will be a living hell. I can help you but I can't hurt her, got it?" Hum nodded very quickly making mental note.

They catched up with Themy as they were nearing the next arena. They reached the final step and they saw Jay standing there. Alfred's stress level was slowly increasing as Hum stepped forward. They Jay spoke to introduce herself. "Hi nice to meet you, I'm Jay. I run this arena along with my friendly bosses. who are you?"

"I'm Hum and I'm your challenger and I defeated Alfred and Themy here. They will help me if I need it" Hum replied. Jay smiled at the confidence but when she looked at Alfred, she could clearly see that he was struggling. She made a sign to Alfred to say 'it's okay, I'll be fine whether I win or lose.' Alfred saw and calmed down a little bit.

Then Hum got into a fighting stance while Themy and Alfred hanged back. Then all of a sudden Jay disappeared, this surprised Hum who looked around trying to see where Jay went. Then he saw a Boulder being thrown towards him. He dodged the attack and saw Jay appear and disappear again. He now knew she can go invisible. So he needed to figure out how to deal with that.

Trying to figure out how to combat her ability, he tried asking Themy for help. Themy decided to use his shadow powers to create a smoke field that got Jaylyn covered in it, making it possible to see her. Jay knew it was Themy and knew that she can't go invisible again. Hum finally saw her and rushed her. But she knew he was gonna do that and dropped a boulder on him.

She saw a light and saw him reappear. She now knows he can come back to life and can keep fighting. So she decided to just see how long she can last. So both got ready for a 2nd fight. Hum charged at Jaylyn with impressive speed. Now the 2nd fight has begun.
