Boss Battles

Chapter 18

Hum was ready to battle Kevin. Or at least he felt like it. As soon as Hum took a step forward, Hum got punched from somewhere. Hum looked around and tried to figure out what happened. He shook it off and took another step towards Kevin and the same thing happened.

"Okay, what the f*** is going on?!" Hum questioned. Kevin raised a brow as he replied "What do you mean? Just attack me already." Hum started to get angry and charged at Kevin. But as soon as he threw a punch at Kevin, he went right through him.

"Okay now that's cheating" Hum said as he got back up. But he noticed starting to get tired and started to sweat. Hum figured what he needed to do. 'Kevin must be using energy to do his abilities' Hum thought. Kevin also knew this and tried to limit the use of his abilities.

Hum got up and ran at Kevin and started to throw punches at him. Hum looked over to see who could help him. He knew Themy, Alfred, and David couldn't. This left Deven, Jay, and Ranson for assistance. Hum looked and saw Alfred, Themy, and David were playing cards as he was fighting Kevin.

Kevin saw that Hum was distracted and froze time again. He threw multiple punches at Hum and even sent a kick to the groin. After resuming time, Hum felt pain across his entire body and fell to the floor lifeless. After that, a bright light appeared and Hum respawned.

Hum, now getting mad, charged at Kevin with relentless fury. Taking note that Kevin can phase through and freeze time. Kevin kept freezing time to either attack Hum or dodge his punches. But Hum was being relentless as Kevin couldn't catch a break without dodging a punch from Hum. Hum was still mad and never let up from attacking.

Kevin knew that he couldn't keep up as Hum landed a successful hit and sent Kevin back a few feet. Recovering, Kevin used a last ditch effort as froze time again. He used one punch and used all his strength and punched Hum in the face. After that, he collapsed to the floor and fainted.

The punch ended up killing Hum and he had to respawn. Hum got even more pissed but when he looked, he saw Kevin on the floor passed out. This meant Hum won the battle and he decided to take the gang and Kevin to the nearest motel. This left 3 bosses to go as he defeated 7 bosses as of right now.
