Boss Battles

Chapter 25

Mango was braced for impact, but she didn't feel anything. But she heard a loud bang ring throughout the arena. She also heard a couple people gasp. She was scared to open her eyes but curiosity wouldn't leave her alone. So she opened her eyes and was shocked at what she saw.

She saw Hum and his fist about a couple inches away from her face but a hole the size of a fist in his chest. He was also shocked for words as he tried to comprehend what just happened. Both of them slowly looked behind them and saw the person who shot him.

Hold a smoking barrel of a rifle was Alfred. He summoned his staff and immediately shot Hum right before he was gonna punch Mango. Alfred lowered his weapon to reveal a bloodied yet purely angered face. He let his rifle dissipate and shook off David's grip.

Hum looked back down at the hole in his chest and back at Alfred. The two of them began to fall to the ground. Alfred fell due to exhaustion and he passed out. But Hum fell to the ground dead yet again. The room was still quiet where even Ranson and Themy were in shock. The gang saw yet another yellow light and saw Hum pop out of it. They all looked at eachother and then at the passed Alfred.

Hum then pulled Mango up and asked her what happened. Mango explained that Alfred is very overprotective when it comes to her or Jay or Abby. So when he saw Hum about to hit Mango, he immediately acted and pulled out his staff to shoot him. But Mango looked at Hum and smiled. She said she could've taken the hit and that Alfred was overreacting.

Hum then looked at the other bosses and back at Mango. He then asked what's gonna happen. Mango smiled as she said that now they're gonna do a ceremony as he is the first person to get through all the bosses. All the other bosses got in a circle around Hum as 1 even woke up Alfred and he got into place. Hum looked around in confusion as he stood where he was.

Then suddenly all of them summoned one of their powers and aimed above him. Ericson got ready to use his flame fist, Themy got ready to use his shadow powers, Alfred pulled out his staff, and Mango prepared to use water magic. The 4 of them released their powers at once and all of them combined.

The 4 powers combined and this created a giant ball that was mashup of the 4 colors. Hum watched in awe as he saw the ball get bigger and then floated upwards. The ball got bigger and bigger until it started to pulsate. Then the ball exploded like a giant firework and everybody started cheering.

Hum was still processing what happened until he realized that he was one of them now. Everyone cheered and they all celebrated. Mango threw a party and hosted everything. Hum laughed along with his friends and he looked around. He began to reflect upon his journey. Just days ago he fought his first battle with Themy and Alfred.

He remembered how there was every up that all the bosses became his friends and all the downs when he saw one of them get hurt. He then noticed Themy approaching him, he turned to face him and was immediately met with a hug. He was confused on what was going on until he realized Themy was hugging him.

"I don't usually do this but you really earned it. Just don't get used to this." Themy said. Hum looked up towards him and saw him a bit red and smirked. He decided to do a bit of a snuggle move and this made Themy shake a bit and more red as he quickly released him. Hum laughed and thanked him for everything. He knew that his journey was done now. And that's what all that mattered.
