"Wake up Sir, we're here," were the words the detective registered when he woke up all sprawled across the backseat. The driver glanced at him and then looked ahead clearly amused by his dishevelled state.

As he looked out of the window, he was shocked. For when the government had said that they would give him a temporary place to stay as a token of thanks for solving the mystery of the Bronze Age Korean crown in the Louvre Museum, he had expected a comfortable small motel and certainly not South Korea's fanciest and most eminent hotel, the Seoul Andaz Gangnam.

For Gong Yoo was a man who unlike most people preferred simplicity and simply didn't see the appeal people had for luxury. Still this would do for the night. Right now, he just needed food to appease his starving stomach and a bed to drift off to sweet, sweet dreamland.

He thanked the driver and offered to pay him some money even though the man declined it with full fervour and then ended up accepting 3000 won as his payment. He slung his enormous backpack on his shoulders and walked inside the hotel not looking back even once as the taxi drove off.

Stepping inside, he was impressed and speechless at the grandeur of the place. He admired the intricate designs and decorated chandeliers everywhere at the reception. As he walked up to the empty check in counter, he heard a shout, "Chaeyoung!"He turned around and saw a man running after a red haired woman. He followed them into a dimly lit hall where he could only see their silhouettes.

"Why are you avoiding me Chaeng, it hurts me so much, you know that, right ?," said the platinum blue haired man holding the redhead's hand. "And you think it doesn't hurt me Jimin?" said the woman. "We both have to do this only till we are in the hotel. It will be over soon. Besides you know that I'd always go back to you,"she finished looking up at him.

"Forgive me my Rose," he said ashamedly. "Stop apologising Chim, let us enjoy the little time we have now together." Then they embraced and walked off from the room holding hands.

Gong Yoo thought to himself walking along the corridor, "What a shady couple. And what did Chaeyoung (he assumed that to be her name) say that would be over soon." He then saw that the check-in counter was occupied by a young woman.

He walked over to her and said,"I would like to check in please." "Oh Mr Gong Yoo, right. We've been waiting eagerly for your arrival. There is a room reserved for you in the North Wing."

"Gong Yoo!?", a deep voice shouted. He turned around to see his old friend and acquaintance, Jackson Wang. " Jackson, what are you doing here."

"I own this hotel, old man. The better question is what are you doing here."

"I assumed you would know that. After all this place has been eagerly waiting for my arrival. And since when do you run hotels.

"I inherited it from my father. And I am a 26 year old guy, which means I party and not work. I drop by once in a while to check if things are running smoothly. So excuse me for not knowing the reason for your sudden appearance."

"As expected from you. Now the government actually wanted to thank me for solving their numerous cases so they booked me a room here in the North Wing."

"Ah you haven't changed one bit Gong Yoo. You are still as sharp as ever. And what do you mean you are staying in the North Wing? I am cancelling that reservation and booking a room for you in the West Wing."

"What is so special about the West Wing."

"You deserve the best my old friend. The West Wing is like a first class compartment in the best train. And so you are staying there on the top floor. There are 13 rooms there including one for the floor manager and one room is empty. That, my friend is your new abode for the rest of your stay here. Also once you unpack there, come down to the dining room of that wing which is on the first floor. Let's catch up. It's been a long time." Jackson got that all out in one breath and walked away swiftly.

The receptionist handed Gong Yoo his room key card and pointed him to the West Wing elevator.
