I felt my eyes turn black as I put the glass of juice filled with... deadly poison on the table. I tried to control myself; I didn't like Daniela's company in the first place, but who am I to care? She hadn't done anything bad to me, but this time she stepped into the red light. I calmed myself; no one had seen my eyes turn pure black yet since I was looking straight at the glass. I took a deep breath.

"I'm tired." My voice was cold as I stood up and started to walk away when Daniela held my arm to stop me.

"I was being nice to you. I bought you juice, so please, take it." She said, and I could feel the darkness in her voice, but she sounded too kind for anyone else to hear.

I didn't like how this was going. My eyes were turning to rage, but I couldn't let it happen. Xenon wasn't here, and there were too many students around. I may not care if they die, but I care that Drena and Cassy are here. I don't want my monster to take over.

"Drink it first, then." I said, not looking at anyone as I stared down at the floor, but the darkness in my voice sent chills down the spines of those who heard it. I could sense some students were frightened by my tone; I couldn't see them, but I could feel their fear.

I even felt Daniela freeze in place but quickly covered it as I heard her clear her throat. "Don't you trust me, Claire? I was being nice to you." She sounded hurt, and I didn't like how this was going. Abruptly, I held her hand that was gripping my arm... it wasn't me; it was the sudden surge of red in my eyes that returned for a moment before fading back to black.

But she gasped at my hold. The strength of my monster was uncontrollably strong. It probably left marks on her hand, even for just that moment.

I could kill with my bare hands in an instant; that's why I was surprised Daniela was still alive.

"Ouch!" she exclaimed as she immediately pulled her hand away to examine it.

I heard Cassy gasp, and I felt how rattled Drena was as she took out her phone, probably calling Xenon. I knew they had just seen my eyes, which is why they didn't want to get near me... afraid I would harm them.

"What's wrong with you?! I was being nice to you! Why did you hurt me?!" Daniela shouted, drawing the attention of all the students in the cafeteria, which made my blood boil even more.

I didn't know why I was feeling this way... why I got mad so easily... as if I couldn't control my anger anymore over something so trivial. Anger was rising in me when, in fact, she had just tried to make me drink poison. That shouldn't be a reason to get angry. This isn't me anymore; I'm usually calm, no matter how hard it gets or what danger I'm in. I typically don't have emotions, so why was I feeling angry now?

In a swift motion, I found myself gripping Daniela by the neck, making the students gasp in fear. I even heard some screams from girls. I could hear others trying to flee the cafeteria. I realized Drena and Cassy were trying to get the students out; I didn't know what they were saying to convince them, as I couldn't hear anything over the pounding of my heart and Daniela's quickened heartbeat. She was in a state of shock from my sudden movement, but she clutched my hand, trying to pry it away from her neck. However, no matter how hard she tried, she could never budge it.

I leaned closer to Daniela's ear. "Who gave you that poison?" I asked in a low but deadly voice.

I sensed her eyes widen at my words.

I would no longer play along with her plasticity; I couldn't pretend to be calm anymore as anger built up each time she crossed the line. I had tried to play nice; I had tried to act composed. But I think I couldn't hold on any longer. One more thing that triggered my fury was the poison. I should have kept my cool, even though one of the substances in the poison was very familiar... I couldn't be mistaken; I knew the recipe the moment I smelled it, and one of its components was the same substance that... Uncle Dos used to poison me.

She didn't answer, so I asked again, "Who?" I said, my voice low but threatening. Still, there was no response. Perhaps my grip on her neck was so tight that she couldn't speak? So, I threw her down to the floor.

She gathered herself, trying to sit up while holding her neck. I could see the bruises forming from my grip. She looked at me with disbelief, fear dominating her expression, as she tried to process the situation she had put herself in. She was likely trying to understand who she was facing right now, and I didn't have time for that.

"Speak." I said blankly, looking straight into her eyes. The darkness in my eyes seemed to shock her. Who knows what happened to those who could see the darkness in me? She seemed to realize who I was, moving backward to get away from me, her face betraying an unmistakable fear.

"I-it's..." she stammered, struggling to speak when someone interrupted.

"It was me." A voice said.

I turned to the source, not surprised that it was her.

There are some things that can be seen ahead of time, just with the right accuracy. A proper calculation of events can lead you to a perfect understanding of the outcome.

With the speed of the wind, the woman who claimed responsibility for poisoning Daniela now stood a meter and a half away from me.

"It's nice to meet you, your majesty," she said in a sarcastic tone.

And I smirked.
