New Orleans, 23 August 1905

Rain was pouring hard. The chilling air sent shivers down to whoever unfortunate soul looming outside. The Dark Force was no exception. Consists of 4 highly skilled trained assassins: Machae, William, Hexa and Alex. They didn't necessarily mean bad as the name suggested. After all, they were only killing to survive. For the job, to make money to be precise. The never-ending world war, family issues and hard neighbourhood had no doubt played a major role in in giving a hard time in their lives which was exactly what led them to this path of lives. Missions after missions they accomplished. Dark Force was almost unstoppable. Until this frightful night.

The 4 young teenagers were looming in the abandoned warehouse waiting for their client to show up. They got roughly 20 minutes to spare before the meeting took place. This client was relatively important to them since it was from a high rank society and obviously offered them a huge deal of cash. After checking of the target's background, they were certain there was nothing unusual than what they were used to do. It was Dr. Humming, an experimenter for biological weapon. He was using humans for his experiments. The Dark Force had dealt with this kind of mission before, hence it was nothing new and unusual to them. After all, the war was losing, desperate times called upon desperate measures. The mission was to save the experimented victims, find what he is up to and understandably terminate the doctor.

William and Hexa who were laughing at something William said were obvious by the stare Machae was giving to the pair. With Hexa sitting at the top of a container box wrapping her arms around William's neck and he was standing in between her legs, both hands were on the girl's thigh, they began kissing with no care whatsoever. Machae and Alex couldn't help but rolled her eyes at the antic of their best friends. Machae felt like she had had enough of that to last for a lifetime. No matter how hard she tried to suppress her feelings for her childhood best friend everytime she watched them together, it still hurt like hell as it was the first time. She glared towards the couple feeling jealously bubbling up boiling her blood. But if you looked deeper, you could see the real emotions lying: pained, hurt and longing.

"Cut it out you two, will ya? I still wanna digest my dinner earlier properly. Can't do that if I am vomiting now, can I?" Alex snapped. He was standing beside me arms crossed, leaning against the tall wooden box that I had my back on.

"What's wrong? Last night wasn't great? Lose your charm already?" William teased smirking. He was referring to almost night routine of Alex hook up whenever we visited new city. Machae silently thought he might have changed his taste to red head this time as it was always blonde bimboo for the past 5 cities.

The blond man just laughed. "Don't worry your tiny little head, mate. But for your personal information, it was fantastic. I chose right this time, she was as aggressive as you can imagine. And I am still charming and dashing as ever, I bet I could take Machae here at some point, maybe even your girl? What you think Hex come to my room tonight?" he wiggled his eyebrows at the two girls, grinning as he did so.

Instantly, both Machae and Hexa grimaced disgusted by just what their teammate just said.

"Ew" the blonde girl said at the same time Machae mumbled "Not even in your bloody dream." All the while rolling her eyes.

Not even a second later, both William and Alex laughed their assess off. After waiting a few moments, both girls couldn't stop the grin forming on their faces followed by the same laughter as projected from the former two. Suddenly, Alex stopped laughing and made a face like he just remembered something. Machae noticed this and knew exactly what he was thinking. She had been avoiding this topic for so long hoping they would just forgot, but it was inevitable it seemed.
