Later that night, I found myself standing at the very door I broke this morning at the Mikaelson mansion. All fixed good as new.

"Darling, beautiful as always." Kol extended his hand for me to take.

"Some things never change, darling. I see you clean up yourself." He lead me inside his mansion. I felt eyes around me as people wondered who was the new girl. But I paid them no mind.

"It's been a month since we woke up. My mother insisted we spent a full-on family time before we announced our reunion. I should've known this was what she had in mind." Kol chuckled.

"You mean a Mikaelson Ball?"

"Yea, you know my family have always been one with dramatics."

"That I know." I scanned the crowds. Mostly were the locals I assumed. My eyes landed Niklaus wearing a tux with his date, a blonde girl. My breath hitched. Good Lord, sexy handsome devil he is. That tux definitely did justice for his athletic form. My staring was broken when I noticed the blonde girl he brought as his date began to complained to him about something. I felt myself glared at the girl involuntarily. Bloody hell! What was wrong with me?

I averted my eyes somewhere else. From the corner of my eyes, I saw a blonde woman not far from us drinking her champagne with a raven hair guy talking to her.

"Darling, you took care of Ethan fine, yes?"

"I have you to thank for our lovely reunion, yes. Why are you asking, darling?" He asked confused.

"Cause the mayor is here." He followed my gaze to the mayor.

"Hanging out with your new besties? After they feasted 10 vampires last night?" I heard the man said using my vamp hearing.

"It's not them, it's just a random vampire dude coincidentally having his deed in Mystic Falls. I'm the mayor, Damon. When the oldest, deadliest, family of vampires moves into your town, you welcome them with a smile." At least she was smart enough not to provoke anything. Unlike this Damon guy, it seemed so.

"Hmm, well at least you know who you're borrowing that cup of sugar from." He sassed.

"I'm trying to protect this town. They've assured me they want peace, and I've assured them that I'd enforce it." She replied calmly.

"This Damon guy started to get on my nerve." I whispered to Kol.

He chuckled. "I'll handle it, darling."

Kol lead us to the pair. He walked over and kissed Carol's hand as he greeted her.

"Mayor Lockwood. We haven't formally met. Kol Mikaelson. This is my date, Machae Antonova. I hope your lovely town embraces us just as much as we plan to embrace it." He greeted the woman.

"Lovely to meet you, Mayor Lockwood." I extended my hand for her to shake.

"Nice to meet you too." She returned the gesture.

Damon holds out his hand to shake Kol's hand. "Damon Salvatore. Have we met?"

Kol, like the asshole he was, just stared at the hand. I tried my best not to laugh.

"I've met a lot of people. And you don't particularly stand out." I smirked at this.

We walked away from the pair. Grin on our faces.

"He's the one who woke up Mikael to use him to kill Nik. Instead, his brother, Stefan save Nik and earned his freedom from Nik." Kol explained about Damon.

"So he's a daft fool." We both nodded.

Just then the entrance door opened revealed a girl with stunning black dress. Everyone suddenly stopped what they were doing for a moment to stare at the girl. Out of nowhere, a boy came beside her followed by Damon before both brothers (I assumed they were) arms on each side escorted the girl deeper to the ball. One thing I noticed both brothers had the same look on their face when they were looking at the girl. This girl definitely had both brothers wrapped around her tiny little fingers.
