The three of us walked up to the bar to find a guy and a woman talking about some killer they suspected to be a vampire.

"Oh come on now. Let's not go blaming the new family in town or a passing by vampire just because you lot have got yourselves a killer at large. Don't mind us. My brother, Machae and I are just here to let off some steam, right love, Kol?"

"Right." Kol answered while Machae asked "Who the bloody hell are you?"

The guy answered the vampire "Alaric Saltzman and this is Dr. Meredith Fell."

"Machae Antonova"

Kol was eyeing Meredith the whole interaction. Meredith looked uncomfortable. Both Machae and Alaric noticed this. While Machae knew the look his best friend had, Alaric just feel wary of the young Mikaelson.

We ordered our drinks and sat on the stool. Kol in the middle of us. While Kol and Niklaus talked among themselves. I watched the new guy, Alaric in vigilant. Something about the guy didn't seem right to me. He was currently talking on his phone far enough from my earshot. Damn, he's got brain.

Just then, the blonde baby vamp, who I learnt her name was Caroline, entered the Grill. Suddenly my thought was thrown back to my conversation with Rebekah this morning. I looked to my right to find the two brothers also noticing the blonde vampire entrance.

Bloody hell. I didn't want to be anywhere near them knowing whether I admitted or not I felt some attraction to the hybrid. So I stood up as the blonde was making her way to us.

Kol noticed my movement. "Where're you going, darling?"

"Around." I joked. He gave me a look.

"Just going to get some air, darling."

I pushed open the door. A breeze of wind greeted me. I looked to my left and right. Nothing interesting.

I sighed. Maybe I should just head back to the mansion and took my car and head to the hotel. I left the key with Nik anyway.

I began my way forward as I knew the shortcut to my hotel. I didn't get too far before my name being called.

I turned around to find Nik running to me across the street with no care of the cars swinging the street. In result, he almost gotten hit by a car.

My eyes widened. "Do you have a death wish?"

"A car certainly can't kill me, love." He chuckled.

"True, but it can bloody well injure you severely if it wanted to." I snapped.

"Glad to see you care, love." He smirked. I just rolled my eyes and walked away.

"Where're you going, love?"

"Around, getting my fresh air." I said smoothly.

"Lies." He said. "You're going home, aren't you?"

What the? How? I swear I hadn't lost my touch at my excellent lying skills.

"What if I am?"

"Why? We have a good time. I thought my brother and I are excellent company." He frowned.

I sighed. I looked at him. "What are you doing here, Nik?"

"Talking you out of your choice to leave?"

"Exactly. I'm not in your care nor do I have anything of your possession with me." I said gesturing to the car keys in his pocket. "And your blonde baby vamp is there somewhere definitely not here." I pointed my hand to the bar and street.
