Brandy looked around her room with discontent. She needed  a better room. It wasn't fair that someone with her looks had a life like this. She deserved a filthy rich Alpha that would give her anything she wanted and a pack to do her bidding. She had returned home the other day from a month long vacation with a friends pack. She had almost landed the Alpha when the fool had suddenly found his mate. A week more and she would have been able to get him to claim her. She had to get Drake to fall in line. She thought it would be so easy when she had krept into his room. He had been asleep so she had jumped into the shower, being careful not to get her hair or makeup wet. He was awake and smiling when she walked out.

When she dropped her towel she had figure that he would welcome her back with open arms. After all, nobody here had  a better body then her. Instead some little bitch had come in and ruined everything. She had never seen him so furious before. Not even when he had found out about her indescretions. She had heard whispers around the pack house that the bitch may be his mate. No! She wouldn't allow it to be so. She would kill the mutt if she had too...

 Drake raked his fingers through his hair with fustration. It had been a week since he had seen Cass. He offered to drop her purse off to her when he had discovered it still in his room but Nate had said that she needed time to herself and had brought it himself. He tried calling, texting, no response. It was time for a new approach. He reached for the phone...

 Cass sat behind her desk and stared off into space. She didn't want to admit it but she missed Drake. There was no way that she was letting him off the hook that easily though. She glanced at the clock. Her new patient was due to arrive any minute. Suddenly the door flew open and a tiny woman swept in. She couldn't have been more then five feet tall. She was dressed all in black and carried a giant purse. Her hair was in short unruly red curls and her wiskey brown eyes danced in amusement.

"Good morning! You must be Dr Hail. I'm Glenna Stone. You can call me Glenna, or Stoney, or G. Just don't call me Glen cause that's a boys name. I hear throught the grapevine that you are Drakes mate. That's so cool!  He's a great Alpha. Us witches like him very much. He has always been kind to us and lets us live in the vicinity of his pack. He's very protective of his pack you know. But I guess that all Alpha's are protective. Do you like our town so far? I bet that you have all ready moved into the pack house. I know how you wolves need to be close to your mates. (She said that with a wink.)

Anywhoooo...I guess I should tell you the reason I am here. As you all ready know I am a witch. However, lately my spells all seem off somehow. It's like I can't seem to focus. Like one time I was trying to turn water into wine when suddenly I had a craving for chocolate.  The water turned into hot cocoa, which wouldn't have been bad but it was too hot for the glass. So the glass shattered and I had cocoa everywhere. Then for some reason the whip cream materialized in my hair and I was thinking it was an odd place for it to appear. The marshmellows turned up in my pocket. I always did like both whip cream and marshmellows in my cocoa. Don't you? Of course I do have a bit of a sweet tooth..."

(Froot loop alert!)

<Shh...I have to pay attention.>

(It's obvious what's wrong with her... Tell her to lay off the sugar and caffiene and she will be fine.)

<That's not very nice.>

(Uh Oh... She stopped talking and is staring at us.)

<I told you to hush. I missed what she said. Now we look bad. Go take a nap or something.>

Cass gave Glenna what she hoped was a bright smile.

"Well Glenna, it's nice to have you with me. Why don't I ask you some basic questions and we will go from there ok? Let's start with how long you have been practicing magic for and when you first noticed that you were having issues with your spells."

"I am a born witch silly, we start early. As for problems with my spells..."

She was interrupted by a knock on the door. Cass frowned. She didn't like being interrupted in the middle of a session.

"Excuse me." She said to Glenna.

She opened the door and a strange man was standing there with a smile.

"Delivery for Dr. Cassandra Hail."

"I am Dr. Hail."

"Ok. Sign here please."

She signed and he handed her two boxes.

"Oh dear. I forgot something. Be back in a minute."

She quietly shut the door behind him and carried the boxes to her desk. Glenna looked at her curiously.

"Ohhhh whatcha get? Who's it from?"

She opened the card first. It read: Dear Cass, Since you won't respond to my calls or texts I am resorting to bribery. Call me, text me or stop by soon or I swear I will have so many delivery people there you will never get any work done. Love, Drake

"It's from Drake. I'm umm not talking to him right now. He is apparently sucking up."

Glenna laughed. "Male wolves HATE it when their mates ignore them. Drives them crazy. Open it! I wanna see what's inside."

The first box was long and slender and contained three red roses. The second one was small and square and two yummy looking chocolate truffles in it. A knock sounded at the door again.

"I'll get it!" Glenna squeeled excitedly.

She opened the door and tugged the delivery guy inside. He was carrying in one hand a small plush black wolf that looked suspiciously like Drakes wolf. Glenna snatched the toy from his hand and studied it. There was a flash of light and suddenly a small black kitten sat in Glennas hands where there was once a stuffed wolf. It blinked its eyes and gave a squeeky meow. Glenna looked at her sheepishly.

"Oops."

"What the hell! Glenna I can't have a kitten at the office!"

"So make Drake watch it till you get done."

Cass snickered at the thought of Drake trying to keep an eye on a kitten in the middle of a pack of wolves. She looked at the delivery guy.

"Hold on a second. I need you to deliver something to Drake."

"No problem."

She quickly grabbed a box that had previously held files and gently placed the kitten inside. She poked some holes in the box top and put it on so the little creature couldn't escape. She scribbled out a quick note. Dear Drake, I got your first delivery. Please don't send anything else. The wolf you sent had a little mishap with one of my patients. This is the result. Please watch over it until I get out of the office. I can't have it here. If it is alive and well when I get there I might consider speaking to you again. -Cass-

She handed the note, box and some money to the delivery guy. He took it and left. She snickered onced more.

"Ok Glenna. We still have some time left. Let's sit back down..."
