Drake couldn't seem to process what just happened. One minute he was sleeping next to his mate, the next his ex was walking out of his bathroom and Cass obviously thought he let her in there.

"Baby who was that girl and why was she coming in your room?"

He snapped to attention. Brandy. She was the cause of all this. That stupid, lying, cheating whore may have just cost him his mate. He growled.

"Brandy. Why the hell are you here? I thought I made it very clear six months ago that we were finished. I don't like liars. I don't like sluts. I don't like you. We are not engaged. We never will be. Now. I am trying to remain calm because I probably shouldn't kill a pack member, no matter how useless that pack member is. However, if you don't get the hell out of my room before I count to three I am going to reconsider the idea. One..."

"Drake, I..."

"Two..."

"But baby..."

He looked at her and snarled, his wolf suddenly coming to the surface in a rage. She gasped and fled the room.

(What the hell is going on!)

<Brandy...Cass saw Brandy standing there and assumed the worst.>

(How did she get in here?)

<I don't know! I thought it was Cass in the shower.>

(And you are sitting here now like an idiot instead of chasing her down because...)

<What if she hates me?>

(Get up now and find her or so help me I will leave your stupid ass. Get our mate back! I don't care how you do it just do it now!>

Nate's panicked voice suddenly broke through the packs mind link.

Alpha! What's going on? Cass just ran out of here and shifted. I don't think she is in control.

Follow her! Now!

Alpha there is something you should know...

Not now Nate just follow her!

But Alpha!

NOW!

He sprang out of bed and yanked on a pair of jeans, tee shirt and Vans quickly following. He had to find her.

Cass slammed out the door past a startled Nate.

"Cass..."

"Not now Nate!"

He trailed after her and watched in amazement as her wolf burst forth. Sunlight glinted off her fur, the bright rays making it look like it was on fire. Only one type of wolf had fur like that... Panicked, he reached out to Drake. After a short, fustrating conversation with Drake he shifted into his own caramel colored wolf and cautiously followed her.
