I stopped the car, eyeing Cinépolis Chelsea written in bold.
"Guess we've reached," Ethan said as he unbuckled his seatbelt.
I inhaled deeply and clicked the door of the car open.Day one of ignoring Leah.
"This side guys," Rachel waved her hands vigorously.
We both headed towards the two girls standing by the side of a tall tree. Leah wore a soft blue top with pearl detailing and puffed sleeves. Her dark blue denims were folded at the hem and a golden anklet adorned her ankle. She looked into my eyes and her gaze penetrated into the depth of my heart, convincing me to talk to her.
I won't. Self-control Blake, self-control.
I dug my hands in my pocket and took out my phone.
"Hey Blake." Leah tittered nervously. She did become uncomfortable after the brief exchange of glances.
I smiled at her and reverted my gaze to the phone screen, trying to appear as indifferent as I could.Phew! That was hard.
"Who else is joining us?" Ethan asked Rachel.
"Fiona is on the way Eth, and our surprise guest too." She winked at Ethan.
"Ugh. This surprise guest thing is damn annoying," Ethan rolled his eyes.
"Hi folks," Fiona chirped in. She settled the creases on her yellow sundress and hurriedly ran her hands through her blonde hair strands. She looked breathtakingly beautiful as always. "I hope I ain't late," She spoke breathlessly.
"No you aren't, love. We are still waiting for our surprise guest," Rachel snickered.
We all got distracted by the screeching halt of a black, stainless car.
"He's here," Leah spoke merrily.Black, stainless car. Where had I seen it before?
Where?
...
A bitter realization hit me. The car belonged to Marc.
Marc got down from the car, wearing a body-hugging grey shirt which revealed his six-pack abs. He walked to us.
"Hey everyone. Seems like I'm a bit late," He smirked.
"Who are you, beautiful?" He continued as he took Fiona's hand in his and gave it a little peck."I'm Fiona. Fiona Jennings." Her cheeks had a hint of red on them.
I didn't want to talk to that lame man so I texted Ethan to do the job.
Me: Ethan. Marc was supposed to leave for L.A. yesterday itself. Why the hell is he still here Goddammit?!
Ethan: IDK bro. He is such a torture.
Me: ASK HIM NOW!
Ethan: Fine. *eye roll*
"Marc was supposed to leave for Los Angeles yesterday. Why the hell--
