We stood in the middle of the decorated hall

We stood in the middle of the decorated hall. The theme was like a fusion of Masquerade and Cinderella, with masks made of blue satin artistically fixed to the golden streamers that adorned the once boring and plain off-white walls. The selfie spot was studded with miniatures of pumpkin carriages and an adorable figure of fairy Godmother stood right beside it. The pale blue net curtains swished and swayed in the light breeze that made its way inside from the little windows.

The girls did a marvelous job with the theme.

"We did it. It's all wrapped up now." Rachel fistbumped Leah- the mastermind behind all the arrangements.

"It's almost done. We still have to confirm the lightning arrangements for tomorrow." She casually dusted her palms and pulled her hair back into a tight ponytail.

"Oh God Leah! All work and no play makes Jill a dull girl. Let's have some snacks for now." Rachel clapped her hands together and chuckled at the reference.

"Let's move to the cafeteria. Ethan and Fiona are there too." I kept scrolling through my phone, managing to keep my expressions as low-key as I could.

We tottered down the stairs, the faint sound of our footsteps mingling with  Rachel's endless jabbers about her dress and makeup.

"All work done?" Ethan chimed in as he sipped his apple juice like a five-year-old kid.

I sat on the table top, resting my palms on the stout plastic furniture.
"Hmm, it's almost done." I spoke as I averted my gaze to the rest of the area, the irresistible smell of fresh donuts making my stomach growl. "I'll go fetch something for myself." I ran my fingers through my hair and made my way to the table at the far end, away from the crowd.

Settling myself on the chair, I cautiously took out The Soulmate Guide from my backpack and caressed the glossy page with my palms as the letters in bold met my eyes.

Hola Blakie boy. Since I am running out of things to put in this guide, here are some soulmate quotes to make your day.

The guide had surely gone nuts.

I snickered at its amusing words. However, since I couldn't resist the urge to read those quotes, I started reading further.

If I ever start believing in love, it will only be because of you.

This is more than a crush. This is more than a like. All I want to do is make you mine.

In a room full of art, I would still stare at you.

I smiled to myself as I read those lines in bold. I wasn't sure if I was blushing, but I had a strong adrenaline rush, making it too hard for me to stop smiling.

This guide knows me too well. Too well for my liking.

I glanced at the the bottom of the page. There was a stylish signature in black ink, probably denoting who the writer of all these love quotes was.
