Colby
The car drive was silent, only occasionally I would head Becky sniffle alongside me. I have so many things I want to ask her, why didn't Uther kill her. Surely he would show no mercy for a vampire hunter like Rebecca, it doesn't make any sense to me why he spared her life. He could've chased after her but he didn't, he let her run into the safety of my arms. Why is Uther here? He knows I'm here so why would he put himself most at risk! It just doesn't add up, Uther is one of two vampire lords. Why would he come here? Why! Some people spoke of a merciful vampire but Becky looked terrified. I drive her back to mine and Ashley's apartment.

"You're going to stay here tonight, I don't want you to be in any danger."

"That's sweet of you."

"I'm only doing what anyone would."

We walked upstairs and I showed her to my guest room, she got into bed and I made my way over to my secret library. I pulled the book and the wall spun around, I started rifling through every vampire book until I came to 'The Two Vampire Lords'. I slid the book out and started to flip through the pages until I came to the page 'Light and Dark'. I started to read and legend told of one day when two vampire lords would rise, one would be pure evil and kill everything in its path and one would be merciful and a good person. The parents of a boy on his 16th birthday sacrifice him to the sun of all gods in which his fate will be decided, after that the parents must choose wisely and pair with another vampire family. Then the child of the other family will be lured in and bitten, making them the opposite to whatever the sun of all gods chose for the boy. I flipped to the next page and saw an inscription from my father. 'Watch the Quin's, mother has been visiting the white mountains recently' I searched through the book trying to find something about the white mountains and I finally found it, the white mountains is the resting place of the temple of the seven gods, where the sun is.

I hear a noise so I make my way back to my living room, what if Becky is the light to Uther's darkness? No, she's given me no reason to think of her as a vampire. Maybe if I just get a little closer to her I will be able to tell, why would she be training if she herself is a vampire, it's the only slightly logical explanation for Uther's release Of Becky. I step into the living room and see Becky perched on my windowsill, window wide open.

"Becky?"

She wiped her tears and looked at me, with true remorse in her eyes.

"Get down from there, Yeah?"

She scooted a little closer to the edge and I felt my heart tie itself in knots.

"Becky, Uther can't get you anymore. I'm right here! Just come back towards me."

I took a step closer to her and watched the colour drain out of her face.

"I'm sorry Colby..."

She fell backwards and I ran to try and grab her hand but I was too late, all that was left of Becky was the bloody knife and a bottle of vodka.
