Chapter 8: Balance

*Six years after Tenrou Island*

    Year of hunting Acnologia after their last encounter an still not a single lead. Wendy and Carla had returned to the same blacksmith that crafted their armor

    " Ah long time no see you two." He wave smiling

  "Hi..... So we had a few questions for you." The Bluenette asked with a sparkle in her eye

  "Okay shoot." He said nonchalantly

" So is there a way you can modify my gauntlets to retract into the size of bracelets?" She said scratching her temple

"And I would like to have mine cover all of my arm from shoulder to finger tip also could you make them look more cat like please." Carla said meowing pawing at the air

  "Well it'd take some doing, but my sister over at Lamia Scale might be able to help. She's a natural when it comes to magic objects " scratching his head as he was deep in thought

"As for you Carla of course that's easily done." He said now doing cat poses side by side with the exceed

  "So how many jewels will this cost?" The Bluenette asked reaching for her satchel

  " Actually I had something else in mind. I'd like to use some of the materials to make my fiance a ring. I proposed with the ring my grandma passed down to me, but I don't think anyone has a Dragonite ring. " He asked nervously not entirely sure they'd agree to it

   " Of course you can that so romantic of you." The pair said in unison

   The blacksmith turned to them with a great big cheesey smile across his smudged face. Now focusing he prepared his work space for the projects and got to work. The two ladies went to their favorite bakery to pass the time. Sometime after looking at the menu they ordered two slices of cheesecake, one strawberry and the other cherry.

   " My word I'll never understand how you eat those things." Carla said gagging at the mere sight of cherries

   " What?!?! These are delicious especially on cheesecake." Eating half of her slice in one bit

  " Eeeekkk " the exceed said in disgust

  "Hahaha..... I'm going to head home for a nap after this, you know before the blacksmith I finished." The Bluenette said yawning

   " Very well, I have some things to do around town I'll meet you at the blacksmith." She said letting out a giggle

     It was a beautiful day the grass was blowing calmly, sun shining bright in the sky, perfect temperature outside. She choose to take her nap outside in the hammock. After feeling groggy all day she figured a quick nap and then back to it. However upon laying down a surge of energy came over the Bluenette. Swayging back and forth gently in the hammock she spaced out completely no thought no urge to do anything just complete and utter Zen. These many years that have passed she was finally allowed at least one afternoon of peace.

    Strolling the markets of magnolia she picked up some essentials. Nothing too over the top just some soaps and a bit of food for later. Seeing a young mage in the crowed

    " Uh.... Yes ..... Hello I'm looking for Fairy Tail may I please get some directions?" The scared boy said with teary eyes

    " Why yes young man I happen to be a Fairy Tail wizard follow me." The exceed said inquisitively
