"i was wondering if you wanted to walk to the company with me today,"

"yeah, sure. just be at my apartment at 8am, do not come earlier. i'll send you the address," jieun answered, putting the phone down and ending the call.

"who was that?" juyeon said, looking up from getting his daughter dressed for school. he'd be lying if he wasn't interested, he of course, still loved jieun very much.

"none of your business. now we need to get her ready and out the apartment before 7:30am so she isn't seen. my sister is going to take her,"

juyeon nodded sheepishly, reminding himself that he should not be overprotective over jieun as she would never, ever take him back after what he did. he had no right to feel entitled to know about her relationships, but still. he couldn't help it.

there was a knock at the door, making jieun walk over to the peep hole to check that it was her sister hana and not anybody else.

"where's my gorgeous little niece? are you ready to go?" she said as eunae ran to her legs and hugged them as hana stroked her hair. "oh, you have company. annyeonghasey-" hana began, bowing but she stopped when she realised who it was. "juyeon?"

he smiled weakly, waving to her. "hey, hana. long time no see," juyeon was honestly a little scared of jieun's older sister. they were always very close and he knew that she'd be holding a grudge against him for what happened.

her hands travelled down to eunae's ears as she covered them and began to talk. "what the fuck are you doing here?!"

before juyeon could try to explain, jieun interrupted. "hana, it's a long story. later. we have to get going,". she desperately didn't want her sister to start strangling her ex boyfriend, and she definitely didn't want people to see eunae in public with her.

"there better be a good explanation for this,"

the two of them waved goodbye to their daughter and the door closed, juyeon glancing across to jieun to see if she was going to tell him who was coming over, but he figured he should just stop and reign in his curiosity, or at least try.

there was a knock on the door, jieun running excitedly to answer it. juyeon couldn't help but wonder who it was that was making her smile like this. she didn't know anybody else other than the boyz, and she could only be going to the company because there was a meeting for all the idols under the label, which included only jieun and the boyz.

"hey, jieun. you look really nice today. are you ready to go?"

"yeah, thank you, haknyeon. let's go," she said, stepping out and gesturing for juyeon to hurry up.

"oh, hyung, what are you doing here?" haknyeon asked, surprised to see juyeon in her apartment too.

juyeon was left with the very hard task of coming up with an excuse, with jieun's eyes burning holes into his own.

"we were just catching up," he said, haknyeon nodding innocently as the couple both breathed a sigh of relief knowing he believed them.
