"it feels strange...after all this time this is how we ended up?" jieun said, taking off her shoes as she sat on the edge of the bed, facing outwards. juyeon was sat at the opposite end of the bed, facing outwards too, fiddling around with something.

"it's just like...everything happened so out of order. we dated, i had our baby, we separated, got back together, now we live together, and- juyeon? are you listening?" she said, noticing he wasn't saying anything.

jieun turned around to the other side of the bed, having to do a double take of juyeon. he was leaning on the bed, supported by his elbow and forearm on his left side, along with a small box held in his palm, wrapped securely by his fingers.

"i suppose there's only one thing left to do now..." he said, whilst emotions bubbled inside jieun's stomach, wondering if this was the moment.

he opened the box to reveal a stunning ring, with a deep blue gemstone in the middle. "jieun-ah..."

tears welled in jieun's eyes as she realised what was happening. "song jieun, i love you so much...will you marry me?" he said, turning over to sit up cross-legged. jieun slowly turned around, still wondering if she was dreaming or not. but she knew she had to give an answer or juyeon would be wondering if he broke her.

and without hesitation, she said 'yes'. there was nobody else that jieun would rather spend her life with. and everything they went through just brought them back together.

juyeon smiled and took the ring out of the box, sliding it onto jieun's finger. she jumped on him excitedly afterwards, taking him by surprise.

"i love you, juyeon," she said, straddling him as he sat up again in his cross-legged position.

"i love you too...yeobo," 

"we're not married yet!" jieun said, slapping him playfully on the shoulder.

"you're not joking?"

"no, sweetie. we're not joking," jieun said, holding back her smile a little as she took juyeon's hand.

uncertainty was in the air as the few seconds that eunae was silent had juyeon and jieun questioning what her reaction would be. moments later, she hopped out of her chair and ran around the room shouting 'mommy and daddy are getting married!', meanwhile her two parents were trying to get her to calm down, mainly because there were other people in their block of flats but also because if someone knew juyeon lived there, they'd soon catch on to his little secrets.
