"how do you guys know each other?" hyunjae said, nearly choking on his words out of disbelief.

"ummm...yeah it's kind of a long story. we went to high school together...and we dated for a while, and we have a-"

before juyeon could spill some very important tea,
jieun thought fast and covered his mouth with her hand, even though she had to jump with the large height difference.

"you have a what?" haknyeon said, curious.

juyeon looked to jieun cautiously as her face said 'don't tell them that we have a child together'. luckily, jieun jumped in and saved the day as juyeon couldn't think of what to say.

"we have a long history...we go way back," jieun said, exaggerating slightly.

"well, I'd love to hear about it some day!" changmin said, smiling.

"me too!" eric put his hand up eagerly, "of all the places in the world you two are back here together, how strange?! and wonderful at the same time!"

"yeah...perhaps another time, eric. can i talk to you for a second, jieun?" juyeon said.

"what? hyung, we only just met her and now you want to take her away? let's go out and get to know each other!" sunwoo said, rather excitedly to have a new friend that was a girl.

"i'm sorry, sunwoo. but this can't wait. we'll be right back," juyeon said, grabbing jieun's hand and taking her to a room where they could talk alone.

juyeon dragged jieun into a small recording studio and locked the door.

"i want to see them," juyeon said.

"that's it? you show up after, what seven years? and all you can say is 'i want to see them', not 'i'm sorry'?" jieun said, disgusted that juyeon had the audacity to do such a thing.

juyeon desperately did want to ask jieun what she'd been up to for the past seven years, because he still loved her. but he knew that she'd never, ever take him back after the things he said and did.

"not a day goes by where i don't regret what i did, jieun. i feel guilty about it all the time, letting you go and cope with our child on your own,"

"correction - my child. she has been doing fine for seven years without you."

juyeon looked shocked, but also happy at the same time. "sh...she? i have a daughter?"

"she is called lee eunae. for your information, of course you'd know that if you stuck around," jieun scoffed.

"l...lee?"

"well what did you want me to call her? it is your surname after all," jieun said, slightly laughing at the way he was so surprised.

"i...i just...nevermind," juyeon said. "but why can't we tell the boyz?"

jieun looked to juyeon as if he were stupid. "are you dumb? we can't let anybody know about her! we can't let cre.ker know that we have anything to do with each other! all of our lives could be at risk...even eunae's. and i'm sure that's not something you want, even if you are a dick, even if you left us,"

"hey, hey...I am a lot of things, but i'm not a dick. just let me explain myself...i was trying to protect you, and trying to protect...eunae," he said, but the way he said his daughter's name for the first time with a huge smile on his face brought butterflies to jieun's stomach.

maybe what he was saying was true, or maybe he was just a jerk.
