secret - lee juyeon

juyeon woke up beside jieun on the cold floor of the recording studio they were still locked in. it was 8am in the morning, and the rest of the boyz should be on their way by now, but he wasn't complaining. the more time he had in there, the more time he had to look at the sleeping face of jieun next to him.

he recalled the events of last night. it still felt like a dream that jieun felt the same way, and he really couldn't stop smiling at the thought that they could be getting back together.

"good morning," jieun whispered, juyeon noticing she was awake now. "i got a text from hana. the teachers dropped her off at her house,"

"did you tell her where you were?" juyeon said, worried in case the person he was most scared of in the world came and strangled him for hanging out with jieun.

"don't worry..." she said, reaching out and touching his lips with her fingers. "i told her i was staying at a friend's house,"

juyeon's lips curved into a smile before he kissed jieun's fingers lightly and took her hands in his own. "the boyz should be here soon. they'll notice that i didn't come home,"

as if on queue, the door opened to reveal kevin and younghoon looking at them lying on the floor with a shocked expression. "what on earth happened in here?" younghoon asked.

"we both got locked in here overnight, you know. no big deal," juyeon said sarcastically, grabbing his jacket from the chair in the corner and slipping it on as jieun stood up too.

"you should have just called us! we were worried sick!" kevin said.

"it's ok, guys. honestly...i'm still not sure how the door locked itself, though," jieun said, juyeon nodding in agreement.

"well, i have to go home now. things to do, you know," jieun said, when in reality she was of course going to spend the day with eunae and make it up to her, the fact that she left her at school yesterday. juyeon followed her, wondering where she was going.

younghoon and kevin slowly turned their heads to look at each other.

"do you think it worked?" kevin said.

"totally,"

...

"guys i kind of have to tell you something..." juyeon said, sitting on the bench at the side of the room after practice.

"what's up?" jacob said, after taking a sip of water from his water bottle and passing it to changmin.

"well...i kind of need jieun here to tell you this..."

"you're dating again?" hyunjoon asked, juyeon nodding sheepishly whilst haknyeon's expression turned to a frown. he really liked jieun, but he somehow knew that this was going to happen at some point. chanhee noticed haknyeon's expression and put a hand on his back for support.

juyeon desperately wanted to tell them that they had a daughter together, he'd been keeping it a secret for all these years...but he really just couldn't find the words to do so. even if it meant lying to his best friends.

"we're happy for you, hyung. just...don't let anybody find out," eric said.

"oh and one more thing..." hyunjae said, standing up from his seat. "did you two...?"

"no! god, of course not! there is a time and place for that!" juyeon said, slightly over exaggerating to cover up the truth.

kevin and younghoon looked across to each other and smiled knowingly that their idea had worked. of course, the two of them locked jieun and juyeon in the recording room. when they saw the opportunity, they took it. they had the super idea of getting them back together, although the two had never expected for it to be this easy.

juyeon just hoped and prayed that they'd take it this nicely when he told them that he had a daughter that he'd been keeping secret for years.
