"ok, don't freak out, but..." jieun said, muttering the last part.

"what did you guys do this time?" haknyeon spoke.

"is it baby number 2 now??" eric butted in, holding his hands together in excitement.

juyeon and jieun looked to each other, shocked at the thought. "no no, nothing like that..." jieun said, rubbing her neck in awkwardness.

"we err...we're engaged," juyeon said.

"you're...you're ENGAGED???" kevin said, with his jaw dropped. "SINCE WHEN?? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US, HYUNG?!?!" he said, slapping juyeon playfully but almost forcefully in anger that his best friend didn't tell him that he was planning on proposing.

"calm down, kevin-hyung. at least they decided to tell us now," changmin said. "congratulations, by the way,"

"thanks, changmin. it means a-"

"why did you two do it?" younghoon said. everyone looked to him in astonishment.

"what do you mean, hyung?" chanhee said, face perplexed at his rude outburst.

"creker may already have their suspicions about you two...then you're engaged now, you have a daughter? how long is it going to be before someone finds out?" he said, provoking thought in both the two older boys, sangyeon and jacob.

"just leave them alone, younghoon-hyung. they are happy. we've done a great job of hiding everything so far," sunwoo said, hyunjoon nodding in agreement.

"but what if that's not enough?" he said.

"don't worry, younghoon. it will be. we just have to be more careful from now on," sangyeon said, hitting his brother lightly on the shoulder.

"it's all our fault, juyeon. we're making everyone worry about us - they have to cover up for us all the time, they have to make up lies about us. i don't know if i can do this anymore," jieun said, moving her hands over her hair in stress as she plonked herself on the sofa and propped up her feet.

"well what do you want me to do, jieun? break off the engagement?" juyeon said, his heart breaking at the thought.

"you know that's not what i want, juyeon. but for the safety of our daughter, for myself,for you. maybe its best if i-"

juyeon immediately grabbed her and pulled her into a deep hug. "don't you dare. don't say that. i lost you once and i'm never losing you again," he said, kissing her neck, almost desperately.

"i know, juyeon. but i've already done so much. i gave you a second chance - which i never thought would happen. i hide everything from eunae to make sure she is safe. i let you back in her life. and what do i get? anxiety. fear. death threats. i may have my dream career now, but is it all worth it juyeon? i should just go back to gwangju, right?" she said, breaking through his hug and standing up. juyeon followed and stood up, towering over her with his tall frame.

"and go where? to your parents? you know they don't want to see you!" he said.

"and who's fault is that? yours! fucking yours! everything that happened to me is because of you!" jieun said, juyeon falling silent after hearing this. it was true. what juyeon did all of those years ago sent her life spiralling into things she never thought would happen.

"well done. you have earned yourself a spot right here," she said, slapping the sofa with force, before turning to the bedrooms but stopping when she saw eunae standing against the door frame.

"no, eunae. mommy and daddy are-" she said, trying to explain what eunae just saw even though it was pretty clear they were fighting.

"you're not my mommy and daddy anymore!!!" she said, running with tearful eyes to her bedroom as she slammed the door behind her.
