"STOP THE CAR!" I screamed out loud, which scared the living life out of Hoseok and Namjoon, but I didn't care at the moment. "What the? Okay!" Hoseok stepped on the break, still freaked out. I quickly busted the door open which earned me a few shouts from Namjoon, but I ignored all the noises around and chased after Seokjin.I tried to shout for him from far away, but I quickly realized I shouldn't know his name, and he was supposedly just a stranger now. My lips pursed into a thin line after that thought but I continued bolting after Seokjin, soon enough I got a close distance to him. When I finally reached him I grabbed his shoulder and turned him around, he stared back with eyes wide and looking surprised.
"Can I help you?!" he asked, unsure and shaking a little. I opened my mouth to speak but my the sound of my heart resonating through my ears were a big distraction, causing no sound to come out my throat despite trying.
"I.... J.... Please wait...." I said, panting and breathing heavily while placing my hands on my knees and bending down. He only nodded and waited patiently for me to be able to steady my beating heart.
"Uh... hi... haha.. I know you're a little freaked out... but... I'm new to here and... you just reminded me of my bestfriend so I was wondering if we could be friends?" I akwardly smiled at him, hoping he would buy that horrible excuse for befriending someone.
It took him a few seconds to answer, but he just shortly replied with "S..Sure..."
I smiled at him, to which he smiled back. Dad has always been handsome huh...
"You said you were new? Do you need help around?" he offered, still smiling. "Yes! Haha..." I agreed, but a certain someone came by and grabbed my arm so I couldn't continue what I was saying.
"Seokjin, go away and leave us alone. Let's go Junki." Namjoon shooed him away. What the... I never knew dad could be this mean.. especially to... well.. dad?!
"Pft. Thanks, Namjoon. How kind of you. But you see, Jun..."
"ki.. Junki." I whispered to him behind my hand. Namjoon gave me a stern look which made me revert back to my normal position quietly.
"Junki here wanted me to be friends with him! So maybe you 'go away', hm?" he mocked his tone of voice. I felt the tension between them rise and I mentally cursed at myself.
"Haha.. Uhm.. Seokjin, excuse us, we have to go somewhere.. When can I meet you?" I asked, hoping it would cut off the intensity between them. Seokjin rolled his eyes at Namjoon but grinned politely at me. He removed his backpack from his back and placed it infront of him, unzipping the front. He pulled out a notebook then ripped out a piece of paper off of the corner. He frantically looked inside, trying to find a pen or something to write with. It caused Namjoon's patience to run out and he ended up just giving Seokjin a pen from his pocket. The older muttered a small 'thanks' and wrote down some numbers then handed me the paper.
Seokjin tried to return the pen afterwards, but Namjoon disagreed and insisted he keep it because 'it was dirty' now. I watched everything between them happen and I began to question, how the hell did these two end up liking each other, let alone marry each other then adopt a kid.
but if I didn't get them together...
I might not even end up being their son....
Mistakes have been made.
"Junki! I said let's go?" . I snapped out of my thoughts and nodded. Namjoon pulled me back inside the car and shut the door. "Why did you do that?!" Hoseok asked, tucking his phone away back into his pants' pocket.
"Sorry Hoseok, Namjoon.."
"It's okay... By the way! Just call me Wonho," he smiled warmly at me through the car mirror, and I reciprocated.
"Whatever, just don't do that again." Namjoon warned. "Yeah.. haha sorry.."
.
"Hi!" I shyly waved at Seokjin, getting his attention. He turned around and instantly gave me a plum smile while running towards me. After texting and agreeing over when to meet after I was free, which was now at 12:30 pm, we both decided to meet by the bus stop, and eat at a small coffee shop I walked past by earlier for brunch.
I cleared my throat and fixed my stance, "I'm Lee Junki! 18, jobless and doesn't go to school. I love to read, I don't like video games, and I was from Canada but just moved here again!!", I immediately bowed right after introducing myself properly this time and waited for a response from Seokjin. That introduction has to be the fakest I have ever done.
"Ahh.. I'm Kim Seokjin, 23, I work as an author for an online website and go to school at Kinjungsin High. I like to cook, write, and read."
I saw him bow right before me and felt my legs stiffen but I still kept the bow position even if it was getting uncomfortable. Seokjin didn't seem to want to stand up straight soon, and I didn't want to stand up sooner, so we stood there bowing akwardly to each other for a bit.
"Ow my back!" Seokjin groaned, while snapping up. I looked at him with concern, but he stared at me with one eye open and the other closed, "You're way too polite!! Too polite it hurts!"
He furrowed his brows at me; nonetheless, I knew he was joking around. He was my father after all. We both giggled and stretched our bodies. "Let's go in?"
"Uhhh... Yes?"
He then grabbed my arm and dragged me off to the coffee shop. Everything was a blurr thanks to my head being shaken around from Seokjin's swift actions, but it wasn't to blurry for me to examine his face. "Woah... you've been handsome from the start," I whispered. He only stared at me, mouth agape.
"Heh.. thanks?" he said, unsure, but chuckled anyway. I then realized I said my thoughts out loud, "What? Oh! I'm sorry I wasn't supposed to say that out loud!"
He giggled and only poked my nose, "You're cute, Junki." and he faced forward again, dragging me with him.
