[narrative]

"You know how dad is a total genius? Maybe even now, he can figure out how to get us back to our time. Maybe we could trust him too.." Taehyung stated out of the blue. They were fresh out of the door to Jimin's farm house. Last night Jungkook had managed to let Taehyung sneak inside the house while Seokjin was sleeping, quite a familar situation. To get out this morning, Jungkook just knocked on Seokjin's door to tell him he was going back to Namjoon's place and then ran out with his cousin. In reality he wanted to devise a plan to get out of this timeline where they don't belong with, of course, Taehyung.

Jungkook nodded fervently, but this also caused Tae to start staring at something above Jungkook's head. This made Jungkook frown, "Is something weird with the sky?" he asked with genuine concern. His older bestfriend giggled and paused walking, "No, your hair is just funny. When did you get it dyed pink?"

Jungkook gasped, right! He had forgotten about his pink hair; his hand found its way into tangling between the colored hair and massaging them. "I got it dyed a few days ago when I entered this time. Luckily everything is cheap here," he smiled. Taehyung made a slight face of approval but then turned back to Jungkook and laughed. "You paid with your Iron Man wallet?"

Jungkook frowned immediately and turned away, "You keep teasing me. I told you I'm inlove with that wallet!" That did nothing but make Taehyung snort and laugh even harder. His body bent forward and his throat repeatedly vibrated while numerous laughs escaped his mouth. The annoyed strawberry harshly pat his older cousin's back. Now the boy was choking instead of laughing.

"Okay, I'll stop! I agree with you, I think we can trust Prof-... Yoongi too," Jungkook spoke up after Tae's final cough, ending the discussion of his beloved wallet designed for kids instantly. "Then, let's go meet him!" Taehyung happily exclaimed.

.

After three loud knocks the wooden door opened and revealed the exact mint-haired man they intended to meet. The said man raised an eyebrow, clearly waiting for one of the two younger boys to speak first. "Suga! We wanted to see you," Jungkook finally spoke, breaking the weird tension. He made sure to use Yoongi's code name as he was infront of Taehyung, and he was previously warned that 'Suga' did not want to be called his real name in front of strangers. Something about identity theft or whatever.

"How did you find out where I live?" Yoongi asked curtly, squinting his eyes suspiciously at the boys. Taehyung harshly pinched Jungkook's waist, making the younger who seemed to be out of his mind flinch and yelp. Yoongi definetely noticed, Jungkook did nearly hit Taehyung after all, but he decided to remain quiet as always.

Jungkook pursed his lips and smiled, realizing he was just zoning out, and eventually managed to let out a word, "Well, I stol— I mean, I checked the records at the gang lair... RM gave me access. Your address was stated there." The youngest of the three nervously laughed, nearly slipping out their little criminal act, although it was painfully obvious, what he was about to say.

Yoongi squeezed his eyes shut and massaged the temples of his forehead, mirroring his son who slapped his own face at his partner's slip of the tongue. "I... Whatever, fine. I have two questions I want answers to. One, who is that?" Yoongi paused, pointing at Taehyung who was fiddling with his hands behind his torso before continuing to speak, "Two, what do you need?"

Jungkook perked up at his words then slightly pushed Taehyung forward, "This is... Taehyung. He is a close friend of mine."

Now, that, interested Yoongi, he raised his palm, signalling Jungkook to cut short what he was about to say. "Close friend? Haven't you only been here for a few days? You're quite the extrovert, then. You've made new friends left and right," he spoke in a neutral tone, but somehow it made him sound even more intelligent, like he and observed even the tiniest of details. But in reality, he was more interested in Taehyung, his name was... special, in a personal view.

The cousins found their eyes look sideways to each other, staring quietly, trying to find something proper to say. Instead, Yoongi just kept going, "You've joined a gang, lived with complete strangers, rob a store, and now you introduce a new friend you consider close? What a productive lad you are," he once again spoke, his motives completely undistinguishable. It felt like this was his way to drive Jungkook overdrive, like he knew everything that he's done, all his mistakes, why he was here, who was Taehyung.

"Do you believe in time travel?"

That question that came from Taehyung snapped Jungkook out of his trace, lowly gasping at his bestfriend's straightforwardness. This made Yoongi pause and think for a few seconds, "Hm.. I can't say I believe in it, but it could be possible," he answered, then placed his full attention on the peculiar boy, "Why do you ask?"

Taehyung tilted his head, "Don't believe in it? What happened to model HHYH-13 then?"

Yoongi gasped, his mouth was left open and his throat found no energy to make a sound; he was truly speechless. Because how could this complete yet peculiar stranger have known? How did he find out? His secret he refused to talk about or show any interest in— How?

"How in the world... did you find out?" Yoongi spat, feeling defensive but at the same time defenseless. How could he let anyone find out? Min Yoongi does not let people see through him.

"I know this because you told me," Taehyung answered briefly, yet it was almost like he said nothing because that did not make sense at all. It slightly angered the mint haired man, he felt his fists clench and his eyebrows knit together, "Never! I never told anyone about.. my.. experiments."

Jungkook only watched as the scene unfold before him, it seems Uncle and Professor Yoongi was... ashamed. Ashamed for having a dream? A passion? He couldn't tell, but whatever it was, it was clear the older didn't want it to be found out by anyone.

Taehyung only smiled and started clapping. Yoongi's rising anger took a halt and instead confusion took its place. "You don't. You refuse, for some reason. You hide them away in a basement, for God's sake! They've always amazed me, every single one of them, the thought you put behind everything you make and how happy it makes you. Yet, you choose to hide your feelings for this for some reason! I don't get it," Taehyung sighed, feeling quite drained himself.

"Uncle Taehyung loved them! He loved when I showed them to him, they were our little secret. My parents never liked my experiments, but he did! But when he died, it felt so wrong to show it off to the world without him beside me. No experiment, successful or not, will match his approval. I just want him back... so he can tell me he's proud of me again," Yoongi yelled, not to the point of screaming, but definetely louder than his usual pitch.

This surprised the two younger boys. Everyone seemed to have such a past. It wasn't pity they felt, but rather a sadness stinging their hearts and felt pain for the older. Taehyung's eyes started to glisten, more liquid than needed filling his eyes, that's where his name came from.

"But... that's what I'm here for. You even named me after your uncle. I'm so proud of you, dad! I guess that's what we share even if I never met him. We love you and your wonderful works, they never fail to amaze me!" Taehyung spoke, matching the way Yoongi previously did. His words confused the older man's head yet brought warmness to his heart.

Yoongi held his chest in an attempt to stop it from constricting and making tears fall down his face, yet a smile spread accross his face, he only said, "I don't quite understand... dad?"

"Congratulations on HHYH-13. It was successful. So, so successful. It's the reason we're here. Professor Min Yoongi, I am your son from the future, a proud tester of your experiment."
