"Kookie!" a bush behind me whispered a scream.

It was 2:00 am, after me and Taehyung devised a plan yesterday, we decided to meet up at this ungodly time to break into the school. If you're about to go back in time which is against the government in so many ways, might as well do another crime, huh? I ran to the bush and ducked down to meet the leve of Taehyung's face.

"Yeah? What are we going to do first again?" I asked, biting my nails. I was aware it was a bad habit I do when nervous.

"We can jump over the fence, then get into the school. For my dad's lab.. I-I have the password to turn off the security." he said, making small hand gestures while explaining and sweat dripping down the sides of his face "Then you get in, and I'll reopen the portal after 1 week.." he finally finished.

We both have always been babied by our parents, making us the one of those obedient kids. Me and my bestfriend were about to commit a crime and get into Min Yoongi's lab, his dad's lab. The second one not even been attempted by the so called 'rebellious kids' of school.

"Let's... go?" I asked, still afraid. I saw Taehyung gulp before facing me again, "Yup." We both nodded to each other like it was a sign of encouragement to get ready.

Looking left and right to determine the road was clear, me and Taehyung swiftly ran to the fence, and I immediately formed my fists together as if I was going to play volleyball, no time needed to be wasted. Taehyung placed his foot onto my joined palms and managed to successfully jump to the other side of the fence. Both of us were equally tall so it wasn't much of a problem.

Taehyung pulled out a pair of shears and cut a small hole in fence that already existed. He then pushed it open even further and I crawled through and got up easily.

Once we both passed the first step, we high-fived each other. Except it made a loud sound, and I cursed at Taehyung because it could have woken up the guard sleeping beside the gate, but he apologized.

I shrugged it off and it was time for the second step, we tiptoed to the back of the school building, where our classroom was located. I left a small piece of paper on the windowsill earlier in class, making it so even if you closed the window, there would be a small space left, leaving it unlocked.

Tae slid his fingers in and pushed upwards, succeeding in opening the window. We both climbed in and felt quite accomplished.

I did the same thing to the door, so we easily opened it too. We sneaked past the hallways and soon reached the basement.

Me and Tae held hands to steady our heartbeats, since it was very frightening. We just watched a horror movie about a week ago, about kids doing a similar thing, but they ended up being caught and tortured by ghosts. Probably where we got the idea from. Heh.

Taehyung fumbled with the bunch of keys in his hands, but soon got the right one and unlocked the door, pushing it open. We were caught off guard by the red lasers beaming all over the room. Tae took out his phone, and into some sort of weird settings app. He sighed and looked at me, I simply nodded for approval and he furrowed his brows, setting his focus on the gadget again. "I hope this works."

He typed in some letters and numbers, then pressed a red 'deactivate' button visible on the screen.

The alarm made a small ding noise, we both closed our eyes, afraid of the resut. I felt someone elbow me in the side and I opened my eyes, my hands letting go of it's crossed fingers position it was just in. I looked at the culprit, it was Taehyung, his eyes were glistening and his mouth forming a boxy smile.

"WE DID IT JUNGKOOK!" He triumphantly shouted, then threw his hands up in the air. I looked back at the dark room, NO MORE LASERS!

I looked back at Taehyung and hugged him. Moments later I let go and we both entered the room. We were now faced with a white door sort of blending in with the walls. It was pretty obvious it was present though, thanks to the sign saying 'MIN YOONGI'S GENIUS LAB' right on the front.

I tried to push it open; however it wouldn't open. "Tae.. do you have a key for this?" I nervously asked.

"Let me see..." . He tried on all the rest of the keys in his pocket, our worries growing each time a key wouldn't work. ".....No?...."

My jaw dropped, after breaking in, deactivating lasers, WAS A DOOR REALLY GOING TO STOP US?!

Taehyung started sobbing, which made me want to cry too. "WHYYYYYY?!?!" Tae placed his hands on the door as if it were a person and he was begging it to open. He placed his whole body on the door. If he were horizontal right now he would look like he fell on it. The thought made me stifle a small laugh. He glared at me with teary eyes, "WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?! WE WERE SO CLOSE TO-!" he scolded ruffling the door handle.

The door slid sidewards into the wall, which made Taehyung fall on the floor as he was leaning on it as his only support.

I helped Taehyung up and wiped away his tears.

We were both now presented with a white room, "THAT'S WHY IT WOULDN'T OPEN!!" He pointed at the door now hidden inside the wall.

A sliding door with a door knob to confuse people. clever.

Once again I was amazed by professor Yoongi's wit.

Taehyung pulled me in, and I stumbled but followed his gaze. The sight infront of us being one of the most amazing we have ever seen. There was a bunch of gadgets sprawled everywhere on the tables of the black and gray room, each with lables such as 'EF-46' or 'LJKO37'.

The boy now squealing in excitement flicked a switch, which started the machine and formed a purple vortex.

A full working time machine.

It was a metal arched ring, a weird generator looking thing powering it from behind. Me and Taehyung stared at it for a good 3 minutes before I fell to my senses again.

Shouting coming from upstairs and a ray of yellow-ish light awoke me from my thoughts. "Tae! There's someone upstairs!" I panicked and whispered to him, pointing out the door.

Taehyung looked back outside with wide eyes "HOLY!" He gulped and looked back at me.

"Koo! What do we do?!" He violently shaked my arm, nearly hyperventilating.

My mouth stayed open the entire time, my eyes averted back at the time machine infront of us. "Kook?! WHAT. DO. WE. DO?!"

"Taehyung... I'm sorry."

"What-? Koo?..."

"WHAT THE HELL JUNGKOOK NO-!"

"STAY WHERE YOU-!" was the last thing I heard before I leaped into the vortex formed by the machine.
