[narrative]

The boys waved goodbye to Soojin, after a whole afternoon of talking and discussing with the girl, everyone was exhausted. "Well, she was.. very talkative," Namjoon concluded, flinging himself on the couch, slightly feeling aggravated but he knew he was just tired. Jungkook had already falled into a light slumber once the door shut, and the renown eldest in the room started subconsciously, "I know she's very talkative- and sort of a handful, but I think she ended up like that because I never talked a lot when we were little.. She filled in for me, and wanted to keep the conversations between us going," he smiled to himself, not expecting to hear any answer from the two boys as they were knocked out.

"Well, how sweet," a worn out raspy voice commented through the arm on his face as he was laying down on the couch. Jin smiled at the sight. A loud ringing was heard coming from the other room, making the two sleepy boys stir at the brink of their nap and groan in annoyance, "I'll get it," Seokjin laughed.

He picked up the phone and put it in his ear, "HYUNG! SOOJIN SAID YOU WERE DATING NAMJOON?!" the once always soft and cute voice was now screeching over the line. Seokjin retracted the phone away from his ear in surprise and nearly choked when he comprehended what the other said, "WHAT?! HELL NO! GAH! Tell that girl to get on the phone right now!"

A muffled sound of voices arguing and the phone being harshly grabbed was all he could hear for a few seconds, until-
"Hello, did you miss me already, little bro?" her posh but mischievous tone of voice took over. The younger brother sighed and placed his two first fingers over his forehead, "Why would you tell Jimin I'm dating Namjoon?!" The woman giggled, "You may not be now, but I've seen the way that man looks at you, Seokjin, just wait," and he heard another chuckle coming from her before passing the phone back to Jimin. Jimin laughed, "before he asks you to be his boyfriend, tell him we need to meet up first," and he just felt as if the other had winked through the phone.

Jin grumbled, "Tch, whatever, aren't you going to come over later?" he changed the subject in hopes of distracting Jimin from the previous topic. As he hoped, the younger hummed, "Hmm, I'll go tomorrow, hyung. We'll spend some quality time with sis first."

Seokjin hummed back, not surprised, Jimin was the adopted brother but he surely was a perfect fit in the family, "Ah, that's reasonable, see you tomorrow then! Oh.. wait, we?" Jimin nervously laughed, "Yeah, we, apparently Soojin wants to interview Yoongi to see if he 'really is deserving of me' or sonething like that, you know, the usual," Jin just laughed, because their older sister was super protective, her little interviews with their friends were never new.

  "Alright, have fun."

  "Bye, hyung!"

Namjoon didn't really want to say anything to disrupt the two boys infront of him, Seokjin and Junki, they looked so happy eating and chatting from his point of view, he didn't want their smiles to fade, ever. He felt like he was obligated to take care of them somehow, there was just a welling in his heart and at the back of his mind, telling him that he should protect them. But it was ridiculous, a ridiculous attachment, his left brain thought, a boy he's always treated like he hated him, and a boy he's met for not even a week. And yet, there was something proving him wrong, it was all so foreign to him, so weird.

Little did he know it was fate and the future, the world's timeline, the universe itself.

They were his future, unless Jungkook would mess things up.
Playing with destiny is a huge risk, Jungkook was too naive and blinded by anger to be conscious of that. And now he has to pay the price, the pressure is on him to make things work, but keeping it secret from the two most important people in his life, the two who raised him, the two parents he has.

Two fingers snapped infront of Namjoon's own distracted eyes. He trailed his view down to the hand, arm, and soon to the eyes of the person who clicked him back to consciousness, the guy smiled, "Hey, what 'cha thinking about, buddy?"

He looked down and shook his head, "Nothing, nothing, sorry," Jin nodded and shrugged it off. The older turned to the youngest, "So, Junki, you'll fly back to Canada in three days, hm?" The eighteen year old's ears perked up and realized he was asked a question, "Ah! ....yes, I'll have to go, then," he started with a smile but it faded as he completed his sentence.

"Good for you... but are you feeling better?" Seokjin forced himself to smile, there was something heartbreaking hearing Junki had to go. Jungkook was confused for a bit, but then remembered his ridiculous pretend story, "Yes, yes... I feel much better.... Thank you for playing along as my parents because.. you know, I don't have any anymore," he said with a sad smile. It was partially true, the people who are infront of him are his parents... yet they don't know that. They're completely unaware of the situation, it hurt to see them, his dear parents, be clueless about his identity.

But, he did bring this upon himself, if he hadn't been so clueless and ignorant, none of this would have happened. He sighed.
