Alessandria’s POV

MY EYES AUTOMATICALLY rolled upon seeing our adviser, Miss Hizon, entered the classroom. Unfortunately, she’s our teacher every last subject for the afternoon and also the first one we see every morning. How fucking lucky, right?

I hate that Dragona bitch since she always scolds me for being late and wearing a shorter skirt! I mean, is it my fault if the uniform of Veles High is so baduy that I had to ask my tailor to make it a little fashionable?

I fished out my phone from my Louie Vuitton bag and started scrolling on my Instagram. This English class is so boring that I’d rather see my former classmates from VIS, flaunt their new clothes in social media.

“Alessa, mamaya ka na mag-Facebook.”

Even if I don’t check who said that, I already know it’s my naïve seatmate. Sino pa bang laging kumo-kontra sa mga ginagawa ko? Si Arabella lang naman.

And for Pete’s sake, I hate hearing her voice! She always has something to scold me about—my attendance, my low quizzes and even the lipstick I wear!

Like, seriously? I don’t care if this school doesn’t allow make-ups. The old man can definitely do something about that. Just one donation and my violations will be forgotten.

“Kapag hindi ka nakinig, kukuhanin ko ‘yung cellphone mo.”

That’s when I turned to her. I arched my brow. “And so?”

Napailing-iling siya. “Alessa naman, malapit na ‘yung periodical exam natin kaya sana makinig ka naman.”

Hindi ko sana siya papansinin pero bigla kong naalala ang sinabi ni old man noong nakaraang linggo. He threatened to sell my Hayabusa if I won’t get good grades on the first grading. I sighed deeply upon realizing that I have to listen to this class now.

Without my liking, I pocketed my phone and boredly look at our teacher in front.

“Mabuti naman at pinakinggan mo ako, Alessa.”

I could hear from Arabella’s tone that she’s smiling. I had the urge to throw a sarcastic remark since it’s not because of her that I’m listening, it’s because of my motorcycle! But I decided against it for I don’t want to be caught talking again by Dragona.

After thirty minutes of my teacher’s blabbering, she gave out our quiz last meeting. When my test paper reached my desk, I wasn’t surprised to see a low mark. Heck, I didn’t even pass.

I got 10 over a 30-item quiz.

Whatever. I just need to pass that periodical exam and I’m sure I’ll get high grades. Plus, the old man said he hired a tutor for me. Ugh…I hate the idea of someone tutoring me but, as always, it’s not like I can defy the old man in our house!

If not for my Hayabusa, I definitely won’t study!

“The coverage of your first periodic examination was already on the board. Once you’re finished copying it, you may now leave the classroom.”

After that announcement, Miss Hizon already left. Half of our class including me doesn’t care about that coverage so we’re already getting our bags, while the other half, were busy copying what’s written on the board.

For sure, the old man will pay him a generous amount so he or she shall do the job right.
