Minori Shizuno is in love with another anime that made her cry in the very first episode…..Kimi Ni Todoke~ After watching the two seasons, she practically told happily her friends about the anime and they replied with a happy feedback too.
Now Matthew Williams was curious about this new anime; and he knew when it comes to anime, she might get a crush in some anime guy, he hoped she didn’t….because he already found the one.
In one of the days wherein Minori hangs out with Matthew, she explains the anime happily when the Canadian asked. “I actually like Kazehaya because he is kind and sweet….” Matthew tensed. “But I respect the shipping….he belongs to Sawako!” Minori faked sobbed happily. Matthew relaxed silently.
“Oh yeah! Me and my friends are having a Kimi Ni Todoke marathon! You wanna join?” The raven-haired girl asked, beaming and smiling, Matthew cannot just say no…

They decided to have the marathon in Matthew’s room, after being teased by Alfred that they would be doing something…
“Strange….It’s just only us tonight…” Minori said out loud, looking at her phone and saw the message from Norami that she and the others can’t come because of some other things…
Matthew blushed under the dim lights of the room….He and her…alone…That thought alone made him blush and tried not to think of things that shouldn’t be thought of. “Oh well….It can’t be helped…” Minori sighed and turned to him.
“It’s just the two of us then!” She smiled and the Canadian smiled. “Hm.” She pulled off her laptop, a couple of flag stickers on the back of her screen as the decoration; he blushed a bit when he saw there was his nation’s flag.
He watched Minori as she pulled wires out. She asked if Matthew can do some attachments so the computer’s screen can be seen on the flat screen TV. After a while, they managed to do it and Minori opened her ‘Anime Episodes’ folder and clicked on ‘Kimi Ni Todoke Ep. 1’.
They both sat on these bean pillow seats; rather too close…Matthew eyed their shoulders pressing to each other. He blinked when Minori pulled out a box of tissues; she smiled at him when he looked. “I probably need it…”
He was glad that the dark covered his blush again.
The episode started with the opening song, Matthew has to say, it has a catchy tune. He was also glad that there are subtitles below, he and Alfred already watched some anime that Kiku brought over, most of them are action and robot ones but this one is about romance and high school life.
When the episode started, he felt sad for Sawako immediately when she explained what her life was. He heard sobbing and sniffing beside him, he turned to see Minori—indeed!— crying! He was shocked and tried to comfort her but she told him to leave her like that, smiling underneath her teary composure.
He has to admit….She also looks cute when she cries…
Episodes passed and Matthew himself wanted to tear up because of the sadness and happiness of the anime. He forced himself not to, telling himself that he was a man. Minori nudged him time to time, teasing him that he’s going to cry.
But she never teased him about crying is not for men.

As true that this is an anime marathon night, they watched the anime until eleven. They just finished the first season, Matthew was still up, caffeine told him that it was its time to shine! (XD)
But Minori was falling asleep; she hugged a stuffed Kumajirou toy. “She looked cute with that….” Matthew thought, blushing all throughout and he hasn’t given up yet.
“You want to sleep now?” Matthew asks after watching Season 2’s episodes 1 and 2, Minori was given permission to stay in Matthew’s house until tomorrow 10 in the morning, just as long she calls her parents.
“No!” She whined cutely and just sat there, mumbling how fluffy this stuffed toy was. Matthew nodded but didn’t start the next episode, he was thinking of something to say while Minori was dozing off.
“You know Mattie….”
The boy turned to her, waiting for her to continue. “I want to have a ‘Kimi Ni Todoke’ life…” She mumbled, completely talking subconsciously, Matthew asked himself if he should snap her awake but the other side just want her be.
“Why?” He whispers, her head was now lying on his shoulder. His breath hitched when he felt her breath kissing his skin. “Because Sawako-chan reminds me of…me.” Matthew’s eyebrows raised up a bit.
Well he could agree but being alone and frightened of at first….he could no….or he could say yes…
He didn’t know Minori ever since he was being noticed by her in the library, her smile and friends makes her a friendly person to Matthew, her confident and striving action at class makes her determined but she has this weird personality when it comes to history and anime….he thought “I guess I won’t ever get bored…”
“Everybody scared of me….I just know it….They wouldn’t go near me…I swear…” She whispered; Matthew felt hot tears on his red jacket. He pained. Is she…. “I heard some dudes say that I’m ill-tempered…a scary person…” She continued, still crying.
Matthew started hugging her, he can’t believe people saying that….Not when Minori is smiling and laughing with her friends… “They don’t know the real you, Minori…don’t believe anything they say…please…” The Canadian begged; his eyes glassy.
“That’s what my friends say….” She mumbled. She grew silent after that, Matthew thought she was asleep and started shifting himself to carry her but she suddenly started talking again. “But Sawako was kind and wasn’t scary from the start…while as me….I was born angry from my father and spoiled….” She cried on Matthew again.
“So…that just makes me just almost the same like Sawako…” She sobbed and Matthew started hugging her again and this time, Minori returned it, holding him tightly.
He wonders if this is the real reason why Minori is crying about during the whole anime…
“Kazehaya is one thing too…” She mumbled between sniffles. “He’s a nice, kind guy but he told himself he is deeper than that…I like him...” The boy felt a small jealously lingering but he shouldn’t. “No please Minori…maybe there is someone out there…but he may not be the Kazehaya you like…” He whispered, begging as he unconsciously pressed their foreheads together.
“He may not be perfect….he may not be popular…he may not have another crush that he didn’t know…he may not play baseball…”
“I might not be Kazehaya…but I love you…”
Minori was already asleep.
Matthew wiped his tears away that escaped unconsciously with his free hand and carried Minori bridal style to the guest room.
He just hoped…those words reached her heart. Telling her that there is someone for her…
His words…
He laid Minori’s body on the bed and patted her hair, this made him remember a certain memory when Matthew joked about carrying her and Minori yelled playfully to him how heavy she is… But she is light now…
To her…
He smiled and whispered… “My words right now…From me to you….” He leaned in and kissed her forehead. “This is our Kimi Ni Todoke story…”

A/N: I cried….*sobs* My feelings and thoughts flowed in me, I was feeling emotional right now and ended up finishing this with a twist than what I thought of making this oneshot last time….
