chapter 5

jax POV

"hey ma can you watch abel for a couple hours?" I asked sitting on the couch in the office at TM.

"of course. what are you up to?"

"nothing just need a couple hours. he's playing with happy right now."

"this have to do something with haps sister and the little girl?"

I looked at her for a minute before I shut both doors to the office "its complicated"

"what the hell jax. how so? clearly that's your kid."

"howd you know"

"you think I wouldnt recognize my own blood. shes a spitting image of you when you were that age. I know you noticed it too yesterday. thought she didnt sleep with sons."

"that's what's complicated ma. she had no idea I was in the club until yesterday."

"how the hell not!"

I was getting frustrated "can you watch him or not?"

"you know I will jax. you sure shes your kid."

"yes. she wouldnt lie to me."

"you saying that makes it sound like it was more than a hookup." she wasnt asking but stating a fact like she always does.

"it was. I was in love with her I still love her ma"

she dropped her pen and just looked at me waiting for more.

"shit ma I fucked up when it comes to amelia. I met her without my kutte and never told her about the club."

"why didnt she just look you up? dont you fucking dare tell me you've known about that little girl this whole time!"

"what no I had no idea. I didnt tell her my real name, or my "job". I know it's stupid and fucked up. I liked her not knowing about the club she was my escape, my safe haven."

"shit jackson. and you fell for her. you let her fall for you based on some lies. jesus."

"I know how bad it is ma. when I told her my name and talked to her that I didnt plan on seeing her more or fall in love with her. how was I supposed to tell her the next time we met up that I lied and who I really was, that I was an outlaw. so I didnt." I shrugged.

"you should have fucking told her. what about happy?"

"because of what happy does for the club she never mentioned him, keeps the pictures put away. just like he does her until its necessary or something like yesterday happens. it makes sense."

"okay. you're fucked up for all that jax I hope you know that."

"i know."

"so you have a daughter."

I smiled "yeah I have a daughter. I gotta go. gonna tell her who I am. then I was going to bring her to your house."

"shes letting you take her alone?"

"I dont know. ameilia would, even if i did lie about who i was i know she trusts me. I lied about my last name, my job and where i lived not who i was as a person. she knows everything else about me besides anything about the club. but i dont think emery would go with me alone not yet atleast."

"you really kept the club a secret."

"it wasnt like that. it was nice to not have her want me or know me because of my kutte. she knows me."
