I am watching the lamp beside my bed while waiting for him to call, then I looked at the clock of my laptop—8:30 pm.

It's been a week since he left to America for his study. Kanina, nagpa-enrol na rin ako for this academic year, first sem. Ang sabi niya, start na rin ng kanilang klase. Well, it's already early days in August and we will start our classes here in late August. Simula nang nandoon siya ay walang palya kaming nagvi-video call or face time.

Suddenly, I heard my laptop rang...

I automatically smile the moment I saw Kai's photo popped up on the screen. Agad kong cli-nick ang answer button at unang bumungad sa akin ang kanyang pamilyar na magandang mukha.

Palagi kaming nagkakausap pero miss na miss ko na siya.

"Hi!" I enthusiastically greeted him while waving my hands.

He's wearing now his uniform. His hair was already fixed. Shit ang guwapo talaga! He's already prepared for his school. Damn... he looks so good with his white long polo shirt and a red-striped necktie. Dati pa lang, kahit sa blue na uniform namin, bagay na bagay sa kanya ang nakauniform.

"I'm already done with my enrolment... and I am right, may chemistry subject na kami." I rolled my eyes. I am sitting in front of my laptop here in my bed.

He chuckled, "Just ask me if you need help."

Umaga dito... gabi doon...

"Good evening diyan..." I chuckled. I am already wearing my uniform while he's in pajamas now. Patulog na rin.

"First day of school..." I sighed.

I saw him smiled and shifted his body. His hair is so messy.

"If you're bored, just call me."

And that's what I did. I always called him during my free time in school. Iyon nga lang sa umaga ko lang siya nakakausap dahil kailangan na niya matulog kalaunan and that's okay with me.

Sa gabi naman, bago ako gumawa ng assignments o magreview, nagtatawagan kami.

I admit, this kind of set up between us was really so hard, but I have no choice. At least, he's doing his best to have a constant communication with me.

"By the way, Kuya Zion invited me to join music club."

Kuya Zion invited me to join their club. Hindi ko alam na kasama rin pala siya doon as a vocalist. At first, I was very hesitant but Zion and Kai encouraged me to do this. Besides, kailangan ko na rin ng bagong makakasama, hindi lang palagi akong nag-iisa. I hope I can find one.

I appreciate Kai's friend because they always greeted me. Sometimes, they even invited me in hanging out. Of course, I would say yes! Magaan na rin ang loob ko sa kanila. At least, I had an assurance that aside from Kai, I have other friends.
