Previously: The Judgment has come. As the Emperor now has two jewels, will he overcome it.

Main quote: “Those who lead the people are hated because of their power. But if they never give up carrying their own cross, then that power will change everything. And if people follow him and his way of life, who knows if the world can indeed change for the better. That is my belief.” (Vincent)

  August 15, 1205 A.D.

Count Alfonso meets with Christian in the Palace. They have returned after days in the sea.

  “How goes the journey?”

“Fruitful. We have two pieces of the Map of Destiny out of the three and…two jewels.”

“Indeed.” The Emperor joined in, presenting on the right hand the Fire Ruby he obtained and on the left,

“I do not usually allow my child to pursue her pursuits alone and without my knowledge but I am very proud of what she has accomplished.” He has on his left the Green Emerald.

“However,” Christian asserts “Infinity has the first piece of the Map and the second jewel.”

“All the more reason why we have to be cautious.” Emperor Vincent replies to that statement.

The Ministers pass by him in a line. The German-affiliated ones frown on him. Master Recorder remained stoic. Master Patria just smiled at them. Duke De Jure held the usual contemptuous look. He disliked other Ministers appearing to the Emperor in frequent occasions like they were his favorites.

However, while silent, he looked at Minister Yuki Sukiru and nodded to him. He approached the Emperor respectfully. “How is the new leadership, Sukiru-san?”
“All well and good. However, I cannot say for the Kentaro sympathizers.”

  “You mean his clan?”

“They hated the Imperial Family. As leader, Kentaro suppressed all those of the bloodline, including his in-laws and wife, whom he killed, and his daughter, the one he despised most.”

“Marcus told me…Lady Hikari possessed the Eye of Light.”

“Yes but that is a secret ability. The Spirit Eyes are hereditary. Hers were the first in generations to awaken the Enlightened Eye, in which she held two powers: the ability to counter genjutsu of all kinds, even the Mind’s Flame of Kentaro that burns both soul and body and…Wind Style: Kamikaze, which summons a storm that destroys and protects. However, at the time, she was too weak to use the first power a second time and the other one required all of her chakra to be focused on a single location. She knew if she unleashed the storm, it would jeopardize the servants and advance Kentaro’s own position.”

“You seem to know a lot.”

“Ah, for I was her guardian before. Your Majesty, a favor. Please protect us.”

  “You have my word.”

“No, not just me and my people. The Ministers are in danger and one of us is…”

“So you know of the plot?” Alfonso interjects.

“How did you know of that, Alfonso?” Christian exclaims.

“What plot are you talking about?” a puzzled Emperor asks to the top of his voice.

“At least they are gone.” Solus follows. No one noticed that the Minister of Mystery was there the whole time. “Now then, we shall fully explain the situation and the plan of action as well.”
