I WATCHED AS ROCHELLE cried and smiled like the Joker, her sadness was palpable. I refused to let her die like this, this was my fault if I would have done my mission sooner. This could have been avoided. I clawed at the infernal shield that surrounded her.
"Just leave Damian. Let me die." She said softly, I stopped clawing at the shield and looked at her mangled body and her broken spirit. I could feel my anger rising as I stood up shakily looking at her.
"I refuse to let you die like this." I said stumbling over to the one known as Samael. I straddled his body and placed my hands on his bleeding throat.
"Tell me how to break the spell." I growled squeezing tightly. I could see the sick smile spread his face as he dug his long hellish claws into my flesh. I grimaced tightening my grip.
"The only way you can stop all of this is letting her soul perish into an oblivion."
"You should know how to do that right Shadow Executioner?" He spat shoving me off of him easily. I glanced over at her barely breathing body and back at Samael. I smirked earning a confused expression from him.
"Yes, yes I do know how to send a soul into an oblivion." I got up and started walking over to him, I could feel my body shift into my true form. My demon form. I grabbed him by his throat and pinned him to wall.
"LOOK AT ME!" I screamed, Samael scoffed and closed his eyes trying to shove me off of him. I was unmoving, I was stronger than him, I have been like this longer then him. He shoved his hooved legs into my legs trying everything and anything to get me off of him. I tilted my head like a puppy looking at something confusing. I leaned in to his throat, sliding my rough tongue along his wound, slowly inserting it into the torn muscle tissue.
"Mmmm your fear is delightful. Care to feed me more?" I asked my lips dragging upwards on his fleshy neck. He thrashed about vigorously. I growled annoyed with his pointless antics. I summoned my blade of shadow and stabbed it into his torso. I summoned more blades piercing each thigh, each arm and what was left of his wings.
"Open. Your.Eyes. Samael." I commanded; I saw his eyelids shut even tighter turning into narrow slits. I walked up to him and slid my sharp finger nail on my index finger under his eyelid, I smirked and yanked it towards me, the flap coming completely off with a sickening stretch, he squealed in pain as he stubbornly kept the other eye shut. I scoffed and slid my nail across his eyelid again tearing it off.
"Ahh yes this is better, now I can see those disgusting eyes of yours." I spat. I stared directly into his eyes, m eyes turning a deep onyx the pit of darkness that was my eyes locked onto his eyes. Annihilate this soul, for he has sinned, send his soul to an oblivion.
"Est annihilare meam. Quia peccavimus in oblivionem suam mittet" I saw him squirm and his eyes roll back into his skull.
"Aww what is wrong, did you not want to die?" I ask. He stopped moving his breathing increasing in speed. I heard a loud shatter as I looked behind me. The spell. . . it broke. I thought as I ran over to Rochelle. I yanked the weapons out of her body and held her close. She was so faint; I pressed my forehead against hers whispering.
"Ancient moons, lend your power, bring her peace this very hour, I call upon your strength & Might, bless your child this secret night
with healing sent in flight "I saw a soft glow incase her body but not enough to heal her wounds entirely. Her eyes fluttered open as she looked up at me, her eyes were muted as she reached up to touch my face. She wasn't afraid of me, she wasn't afraid of my true self.
"D-Damian?" She whispered, I grabbed her hand and leaned my face into it. I simply nodded trying not to speak.
"Where is that bastard?" She asked trying to get up but yelping in pain. I laid her down on her back.
"He is on the wall dealing with his internal hell. I can obliterate his soul entirely but it was my mission to kill him and bring his soul back to torment and torture for all of eternity." I said simply to Rochelle, realization struck her bloodied features.
"So, you are taking him to hell?" She said softly, it seemed like it was hard for her to breathe.
"Yes." I said walking over to Samael's body, I yanked his body off of the wall and laid him on the floor away from Rochelle.
"But. . . what about you?"
"It's time for me to go home." I said to her seeing her painful get up and crawl to me.
"No, you can't leave me. . . I have nothing." She whimpered her cries were painful to listen to. I had a duty I could not abandon it.
"No, you have a life up here, a dream job and I need you to take care of Cerebus."
"You coward." She yelled, I flinched at the sadness and anger in the voice.
"You can't leave me alone. Everyone always leaves me, why does everyone hate me." She whispered, her voice sounded so innocent and childlike. I knelt down drawing a pentagram.
"Conjuro potentiae Lucifer, Patefacio a porta ad inferos, Et tua deamones transire, Sic urantar mundi" I saw the gate of hell open, she looked at me wide eyed.
"Why didn't you just do that first, you could have saved everyone if you just opened the gate.
"Rochelle that's not how that works. The hell gate can only be opened with my blood and their blood mixed together. I needed enough energy to do so. Saving you was what I was reserving my energy for.
"Why. . . why did you reserve your energy?" She asked me, I sighed and looked at her. I knelt down placing Samael's body on the pentagram.
"Because it was love at first sight.: I said kissing her forehead, she shook her head no and grabbed my face.
"If you love me then there is no reason to leave me here. I am an enchantress that can control other things not just spectral hounds." She said as a bark was heard from behind her. I blinked as I heard a bang against the door.
"patentibus." Rochelle whispered as the door opened to reveal Cerebus.
"Cerebus!" She yelled as he gimped into the room. He ran towards her and she held him tightly.
"Cerebus is here and you love me so there is no reason you can't take me. "I sighed and saw the gate beginning to close.
"You talked me into it enchantress. Let's raise some hell." I said as she stood up wobbly, Cerebus right by myside. I shook my head as we all stepped into the gate the warmth of the gate enveloping us as we were yanked down to the nether. This is going to be a looong story to tell Abaddon. I thought as we all stepped foot on the charred ground. I saw Rochelle smile as if she made it home.
"Raise some hell I shall." She said smirking, something about that dubious smile tells me that I am going to love being down here with her.
