I LOOKED AT MYSELF IN THE MIRROR, I actually felt decent. For once, I didn't nit-pick at all my flaws. I curled my lashes before I gave myself a once over. I bought this cute little black dress ages ago but never had an appropriate date to wear it to. My black dress had a sweetheart neckline above my bust, the sheer poke a dot mesh continuing from the neckline up across my shoulders to a cap sleeve to the base of my neck to a solid black collar. A small keyhole just between my collarbones allowed me to show off an emerald necklace that my father bought me. The two crescent moons framed the center Celtic 6-pointed emerald star. The star was set against black titanium. The dress hugged my waist tightly and flared out from my hips and ended just above my knee.

I fluffed my hair that I curled to give it some volume and started heading to the living room when I heard a firm knock. I felt my heart jump at the sound, I took a deep breathe trying to calm my nerves. I haven't had a man over in the house other than Dean in years. Okay Chelle, you can do this, just play it cool. . .. wait was I supposed to prepare dinner? Oh my God what an idiot, it's a date at MY house, of course I was supposed to prepare dinner. I bit my bottom lip anxiously at opened the door slowly to reveal burgundy bleeding-heart flowers mixed with green and white calla lilies and hydrangea. All of my favorite flowers. I smiled and saw Damian's smooth smile as he held them out to me.

"I saw these and thought of you, but they don't compare to how beautiful you are." He said, causing me to blush at his compliment.

"Do you say that to every woman you meet? Come in love." I said mimicking his accent ushering him in. I looked behind him hoping to see Cerebus.

"No, I just say it to you because it is true. If you are looking for Cerebus I left him at home, I wanted this little night in to be just the two of us." He said walking in looking around my modern house. I smiled and started walking into the kitchen.

"Continue down this hall to the living room and take a seat, I'm going to put all of these in a vase. Although, how did you manage to pick out all of my favorite flowers?" I asked turning on the chrome faucet that arched in a giant U shape and placed a tall clear square vase underneath it. I heard him chuckle before he took a seat on my white leather sofa.

"It is a bit of a long story." He said, I watched the water fill up the vase halfway. I began cutting an inch off the bottom of the flowers and placing them in the vase, arranging them into a beautiful bouquet.

"I do love a good story." I say placing the arrangement on the bar the diverse colors contrasting with the white and grey marble counter. I dried off my hands and started walking towards the living room, my bare feet silent against the chestnut wood floor. I heard him sigh relaxing into the sofa the black accent pillows bowing against his body. The pillows encasing his form like a perfectly placed puzzle piece.

"Well, guess I'll start with when I arrived at the floral shop." He said, his eyes looking up to the ceiling as if he was reaching into his memory. He quickly turned his attention at me watching me take a seat next him. I smiled at him letting him know I was waiting for him to continue.

I walked into the floral shop hearing the sharp chime of a bell as I walked in. The aroma of roses, baby's breath and various other flowers attacked my senses. The fact that some people like the smell of the tiny white flowers know as baby's breath is mind boggling. They smelt awful.

"Hello sir, may I help you find anything today?" The cheerful blonde asked tearing my attention away from the ugly white flowers.

"I am trying to find a bouquet that will match a beautiful woman that I have a date with tonight." I said slipping my hands into my black jean pockets complacently. The blonde flashed a smile and started looking around the shop her light blue eyes scanning the room thoughtfully.
