The sorting

After we rode tiny little boats across the Black Lake we approached the great big castle and there was a big "Oohhhhh!" From the crowd as we approached I marvelled at the big castle. Hogwarts....please help me with my mother.... I hadn't seen Mike since the train, I hope he's ok! We got to the castle and got out of the boats. Lilly helped me, she was extremely caring. "Thanks so much!" I muttered as to not be heard by the crowd "No probs!" She replied smiling "I'm just glad to have a friend!"
"Soooo do I not exist now...??" Severus asked
"Fineee" lilly said "ok I'm glad to have a happy friend!"

At that moment all the noise stopped and Professor Mgonagal stepped away from the crowd and said "Ahem! In a few minutes I will come back and get you, then the sorting will commence!" Then in a swish of silk she was gone. And chatter came again
"What house are you hoping to be in?" Severus asked us
"Ohhh Griffindor looks ok!" Lilly said
"You?" Severus asked
"The one with the least amount of stairs!" I joked
"Good luck!" Lilly said clutching her sides from laughing and even Severus had smirked then I heard Someone whisper my name
"Psssttt...Rose is it?" I looked over to see Remus whispering to me "Can I speak to you alone?"
"Sure, two seconds guys!" I said to lilly and Severus and followed Remus to the very back of the line
"Yeah?" I asked
"I- well um..." he whispered
"Hurry! I know what your about to say, just spit it out already!" I said urgently
"Fine I um....noticed your splints" he said
"Uhuh." I said highly bored of this conversation
"Was he, James,maginifying your legs to hurt more?" He asked
"Yep, is that it?" I asked
"Well not all um...Sirius also saw them so I told him what the where..." Remus said
"This must be a world record for how fast this has happened..!" I muttered
"He wanted to pass on a message um..." Remus paused "Ahem. He said he's sorry he shouldn't have pushed the question and still wants to be friends."
"Ok he seems nice so tell him I said sure!" I said "but tell your friend, James, that I hate his guts!" I said and walked off

Lilly was there. "Did you do what I said?" She asked "yep!" I said and the professor walked back in and the great oak doors opened and she led us through. I stared at everyone spread out through the hall, wow! We reached a fairly dusty hat and a stool and the professor spoke again
"Ahem, now I will call your names, you will come up and get sorted then go to your respective tables according to house,"

"Waterland,Mike" Mike went up and the hat got placed on his head
"Griffindor!" The hat shouted

"Evans,Lilly"
Lilly did the same thing
"Griffindor!"
"Potter,James"
"Gryffindor!"
"Black,Sirius"
"Griffindor!!"
"Snape,Severus"
"Slytherin!!"
"Evergarden,Rose"
Dumbldore looked up, and smiled, this was going to be interesting he thought
"Hhmmmm you've had a very disturbed childhood, abuse maybe," he asked so only I could hear
"Shhhh yeah just keep your voice down!" I retorted
"And to have put up with it for so long and still be vigilant well I suppose."
The hat paused
"Griffindor!!" The hat screamed and I walked off to the Griffindor table
