Professor McGonagall knocked on the door of the office
"Come in." The headmasters voice said cheerfully
"Ah, Professor McGonagall what brings you in here?" He asked
"Well, these two girls were fighting in their dormitory,"
"Ah," he said looking at me "Sit down," he said to us Professor McGonagall bowed and left and we both sat down
"Now, this has got to be a record for the fastest time someone has ended up in my office," he said to me. I didn't say anything back.
"Now,may I use the pensive, I would like to see what happened for myself." He asked Marlene
A pensive?!?! There extremely rare objects. Did he have one?!?!
Marlene nodded and with her permission his put his wand to her head and drew out a memory and walked over, and put it in the pensive. He beckoned us over and we all entered the pensive
"Hey give them back they're not yours!" Lilly shouted
I then saw myself walk over, take the splints off of her and slap her cleanly across the face
I looked over at the headmaster
"Oh," he said and I couldn't read his emotions
"Do you really wanna fight me, aren't you brain-dead or something?" Marlene asked laughing
"No but if you hit me I'll hit you back!" I retorted, we were all in silence
She walked over and hit me which knocked me to the ground
"Well I think I get the story from here." Dumbledore said and I was yanked out of the pensive and back to the present
"Sit down." Dumbledore said simply
We did then he said
"Marlene what you said was unacceptable and with the added violence that's 20 house points and a detention with your head of house." Marlene nodded
"You may leave so I can talk to Miss Evergarden alone." He said nodding at Marlene
She left.
We were silent for a while
"I expected something like this to happen to be honest," he said l looked up from the floor. He expected it?!?!
"But what I didn't expect was for you to hit her. "
"I didn't mean to cause a fight I just was annoyed..." I said quietly
"And understandably so, i didn't expect you in my office so fast though." Dumbledore smiled "I would say your following in your father's footsteps." He then excused me so I could leave
