Rose Evergarden- Year one

Screaming and panic central 2.0

"Remus!" I shouted trying to wake him, he was covered in cold sweat and shaking
He woke up.
"R- Rose!" He shouting
"Remus! What is it? What's wrong with you!?" I asked
He was gasping for breath. And I knew exactly what was going to happen
I ran like the speed of light downstairs
"Rose dear what is it?!" Remus' mother said coming over to me and crouching down to my level putting a hand on my shoulder
"Something is wrong with Remus!" I said crying I was basically hysterical
"Rose dear, I'm going to need you to take a deep breath ok." She said and I did "Good." She said smiling at me slightly as Remus' father went upstairs "Do you feel ok to follow me or do you want to stay down here?" She asked looking at me
"I'm okay..." I said and after surveying me for a second she went upstairs and I followed

"Remus.....Calm down its just a panic attack." His father was saying quietly
Panic attack?! Remus had them to?? But then I remembered a sentence that had went completely over my head at the time

"Ro trust me I've had a panic attack before  and your tired..." He had said quietly

He had had them before. But what was the trigger?! Wait. I read about this

I had went into the restricted section to do some reading in the dead of night and I had read:
Remus John Lupin,5, werewolf attack, 25th December

It was the day he was turned into a werewolf.

"Remus..." his mother said coming over to him
"You need to breathe slowly..."
I felt so useless. Remus had tried to calm me down when I had a panic attack, why couldn't I help him. Maybe......my mother was right.
I am a cursed child
It took me a moment to snap back to reality and when I did Remus had shoved a pillow over his ears, trying to block out his own thoughts
"Oh Remus..." his mother was saying holding his hand. She then went out for a second and put a sheet on him instead of his blanket
Remus' father looked me dead in the eye, he looked really serious
"What did you say?" He asked
"Nothing! I said at once
"Well there's no wa-" Remus' father started
"Sorry Rose dear." His mother said coming over to me again "What he meant is was there something that could have caused this?"
I didn't want them to know I knew about Remus-especially from a restricted book- so I thought  for a second
"I don't think so...." I said
"Well then we'll just have to wait to see how he is tomorrow, try and get some sleep please Rose." His mother said
I said nothing. No adult had ever talked to me like that
They both left
