I sat down at the Griffindor table with Lilly and we both looked rather sad
"Poor Severus..." Lilly said
"I'm sure he won't mind,he wanted Slytherin after all." I said rather unconvincingly
"Shh the headmasters going to talk!" Someone hissed at me
"Ahem." Dumbledore started "Another year,how the time flies!" He said fondly "And I would like to welcome all of the new students and I hope you will strive to be a credit to your new houses' that is all!" He said and waving his hands food appeared on all of the tables.
I didn't eat very much I wasn't used to being able to eat a lot so I just waited out the time talking to Lily who didn't seem to notice I wasn't eating and was very contently eating through the entire table. We tried a few times to get Severus' attention but he didn't see us.
Then the headmaster stood up to speak again
"Now you are all full please follow your respective head of houses to the respected dorms. And goodnight!" He said
There was then a large scraping of benches as we all got up and I started the Everest that was the stairs. It was terrible. But lilly kept checking on me and talking to me so that was nice.
After about what seemed like an hour, we finally reached our dorms the head of house then called out
"Boys on the left! Girls on the right! Get to bed!"
I thanked lilly for helping me and went to bed, putting my splints under my bed
