You Are My Son

"EEEEEEEEEE HE HE HEEEE HEEEEEEEEE!" Aphmau squeals giddily. All of our suitcases are packed, crammed into the main room with us, and we're about to leave for Starlight Adventure Land.

Melissa giggles. "Well, looks like someone is excited."

"You have no idea." Aaron says, ignoring Aphmau's latest bout of squealing that I am tempted to join into. "She's been dreaming about this moment since she was a kid."

"AAAAHAHA!" Aph yells. "WE'RE GOING TO STARLIGHT ADVENTURE LAND! There are so many rides and things I wanna do!"

"MMM! Me too me too!" I yell, finally unable to control it. "I can't wait to try all the wildest roller coasters and make myself sick on food while buying T-shirt souvenirs!" Aph and I start squealing together after that.

"I'm looking forward to the haunted house." Ghost says.

"Of course you would be." Lucinda sighs.

"H-haunted house?" Aphmau says, finally stopping her excited dance.

Melissa gasps. "I can see it now... eheeheeheehee..." She starts making little kissy noises that only I hear, for which I promptly elbow her in the gut for. I know what she's imagining, and I have to fight to keep my face neutral.

"I'm so excited!" Aphmau says, her excitement renewed.

"ME TOO!" Melissa says. "We definitely have to do the haunted house." Giggle. "Come on, let's go move our bags down to the docks."

"Docks?" Zane asks.

"Mm-hm! In order to get to all the islands here on Starlight, you have to travel by boat. At least from this island," Melissa says. "Some islands are different I hear, so I'm excited to see what this boat looks like. Come on, let's get going!" She sprints from the room, towards the docks. I quickly follow her, laughing as she teases my slow running, leading us to a big white ship with a blue rim labeled S.S. Gate.

I stop. "Wow."

"HERE'S THE BOAT!" Melissa proclaims.

"AAAAH!" Aphmau squeals.

"Hmm! For some reason, that squeal sounds familiaaar." Someone sings. All of us look around.

"Huh? That voice..." Aph mutters. Then all of us see a familiar-looking Guy coming towards us.

"Hohoho! I knew it! I never forget a voice." Guy~De says.

"G-guy?" I exclaim.

"The one and only!"

"No way!" Aph yells. "Guy!" She runs over and hugs him. "Oh my gosh, I can't believe it's you! Uhh...wait. I thought you worked at Love~Love Paradise."

"Oh, I dooo...er, I did. I did used to work there." Guy says.

"Get fired or something?" Zane asks. Garroth and I both hit him at the same time. "Ow!"

"Hahahahaha! Me? Never!" Guy laughs. "I am just here to spyyyyyy I mean try a new summer job---that's right---hahahahahaha! Love~Love Paradise is going through a revamp and I pride myself on making summers fun! So, while things are changing back on Love~Love, I had to work somewhere for the summer. But after this, I'm going back to my old job on Love~Love."

"Awesome!" I pipe up. "It'll be good to have you for the summer."

"It's great to see you." Aph chimes in.

"You too, sweethearts!" Guy says. He turns to everyone else. "I remember everyone else, too! You're Violet---the sweet one,"

"Awww!"

"Garroth---the loud one,"

"Hey!...well, it's true."

"Zane---the grumpy one,"

"HEY!"

"and Lucinda---the magic one! I don't know any of you, though," he says to the werewolves "and---OOOH!" His eyes light up. "That's your boyfriend! I didn't know he was a werewolf!"

Everything freezes.

"Ummm..." Aph mumbles, the grin sliding off her face.

"Uh, I was hiding it." Aaron says quickly.

"Aaron!" Guy says. "That was his name! I'm good at remembering names by voices! Hahahaha! Either way, that's awesome you're a werewolf! I never woof have guessed it."

Aphmau snickers. "Speaking of boyfriend---"

"Hold that thought, honey!" Guy says. "I know exactly what you're going to say." he turns to the ship. "Oh, first Naaaaaate!"

Nate appears. "Yo bros, what's up?"

"Nate!" I say. "Hi!"

"Sup? I'll be your lifeguard for this ship." He says.

"He keeps the ship from sinking." Guy explains with a giggle. "All right then you guys, enough chit-chat. Welcome aboard my boat! I'll be your guide to Starlight Adventure Land! All aboooooard!"

I hear gasping behind me and turn to see Sylvanna and Erik sprinting towards us. "Sorry we're late!" Sylvanna pants.

"Just in time!" Guy assures her. "All aboard!"

We all crowd onto the boat, giggling about how weird it feels, and I lean over the side precariously to watch the water under us when we pull away. Garroth joins me, and pulls me back just a little bit.

"Aw, come on, big brother, you worry too much!" I complain.

He just chuckles. "Huehuehue. Or not enough, when it comes to you!"

I laugh. "That might be true. But at least I'll always have you there to protect me from said crazy stuff."

He hugs me tight, no signs of doubt in his happy smile. "No duh, baby sister."

Okay so I was rewatching "Elena of Avalor" for the fun of it (AKA because I want to relive my childhood but Sofia the First isn't on Disney+ so I did the next best thing) and I realized that Elena and Mateo are SO FLIPPING CUTE like if someone ever does a Descendants fanfic with their kid, TELL ME, because I would totally read that. I would totally WRITE it, too, but I think I've lived in Auradon enough the past couple years XD
