Sara's POV

Life looks a little different these days- calmer and less chaotic. With the absence of massive crowds and stuffy tour busses, you can almost say our life is relatively normal. What can I say about the last few years? For starters, instead of a toddler running around, we now have a rambunctious seven, soon to be eight year old to keep us busy.

Addison started year two at school last fall and like her dad, she has naturally gravitated towards music. Although, I'm not too sure you can call the recorder a musical instrument. Instead, Harry introduces her to instruments he's picked up and learned to play over the years. I still catch glimpses of her staring at him in awe as his fingers graze the keys on the piano or the strings on his guitars. Unfortunately for her, she sings like her mother so we grew accustomed to leaving the nighttime melodies to Harry.

Harry. The boy who stole my heart all those years ago when we were still teenagers. Sometimes I forget how young we were when we welcomed Addison and Aiden into our lives. Harry hasn't changed much in regards to his charismatic nature but I've seen him grow and mature as a person right in front of me. A reliable friend, a caring son, and now, a loving husband.

Harry and I got married a little after Addison turned four in a simple celebration with our family and friends. If it were up to Harry and I, we would have eloped with just the two of us but we knew how much a wedding would mean to the people closest to us.

It wasn't long after that, that Niall and Samantha welcomed a little boy into their lives. A gentle soul that was born with far more hair than I remember the twins having at his age. They chose the name Tom and he is like his father in every way. An infectious laugh, dimples on both cheeks, and the need to always be the centre of attention. At the young age of five, Niall has already taken him to the golf course countless times and swears he'll be able to sign him to his personal golf label before he's in primary school.

Harry and I have talked about expanding our family but ultimately came to the conclusion that Addison would be all we need to complete our family. That was until Harry decided we needed a four legged friend running around our house. We adopted a golden retriever shortly after that and we named him Finnley. As much as I fought Harry on getting a dog, I will say it has served as a distraction while we were still grieving the loss of Aiden. Raising a child and dealing with a puppy left no time for my mind to wander at the end of the night when my head hit the pillow.

"Where would you like these balloons?"

I instructed our decorators to supply our house with as much pink as they could as per Addison's request. When asked what theme she wanted for her eighth birthday, the colour pink was the only answer I was given. I've always had a love for birthdays which means I have a tendency to put every ounce of energy I have into them, leaving me exhausted. Wanting to do as much as I can by myself, I was relieved when Anne showed up with Gemma and her husband, James. We unfortunately lost Robin a couple of years ago after a hard fought battle with cancer. It's been hard on all of us but it's a comfort knowing he is no longer suffering.

I check the list of things I still need to do and somehow when I look up, the birthday party is already underway. Under a giant tent in the backyard is food anyone the age of eight would be more than happy to eat. More importantly there is a section entirely made for the adults who need to take a slight edge off and forget about the dozens of screaming children around them. Here is where I find Liam flirting with one of the bartenders.

"I see they are letting just about anyone in now." I tease.

"Good to see you too, Sara," He grinned, pulling me in for a tight hug. Once we part, he leans back against the bar, drinking out of his half filled glass.
