Chapter 41

Sara's POV

"Today it was announced that as a band, One Direction would be losing one of their band members. Over the past six years as a band they've created music that was a combination of all five of their personal styles but as of lately in the last couple of months, one band member in particular has seemed to be fading away from all of us. It gives me no pleasure when I say band member Zayn Malik has officially removed himself from One Direction..."

The news hadn't exactly come as a surprise to the rest of us. We knew this day would eventually come with Zayn wanting to leave the band and go on his own route with his music. We started to pick up on things when he started withdrawing himself from the group and when he brought up the ideas of a solo career for not only him but the rest of the guys. What we didn't see coming was his decision to announce it at such a difficult time for the rest of the band in regards to Liam's current condition. In the midst of all that has occurred, it was now also evident that Perrie also was distancing herself from us. Communication became rare between us and I honestly can't remember the last time I saw her, let alone hung out with her.

With a week under our belts with dealing with the aftermath of Zayn's announcement, it only added to the metal fatigue I was facing. These last few weeks have been more difficult then I ever could have imagined. I've barely slept because every time I heard either Harry or I's phone go off, I start to panic and think it has something to do with Liam but at the same time, I can't turn my phone off in case we miss something important. Harry's mum is going to make the trip back up here to help take care of Addison in a couple days while we deal with the situation regarding Liam which we couldn't be more grateful for in the midst of everything that is unfortunately happening with Harry's step dad, Robin and his current battle with cancer.

Its officially been a difficult and tiring 27 days since Liam was admitted into the hospital. We've had a few really scary incidents with him and even to extent of getting a call from Samantha at three o'clock in the morning saying Liam had stopped breathing in the middle of the night, a few hours after they took him off his ventilator when they thought he was strong enough to breath on his own. He's been on the ventilator ever since.

Today Samantha and I are meeting up with her bridesmaids to go and look at some bridesmaid dresses for the wedding. We wanted to get Samantha out of the house and be able to distract her mind with wedding planning because everyone knows she needs it. Ever since her and Niall made the joint decision to have their wedding in Ireland, Samantha's interest was spiked and her involvement in wedding planning increased tremendously which I was especially happy for because I've been dying to help her plan her wedding.

"I'll only be gone for a few hours then I'll come home and we can make dinner. Maybe you can think of something we can do tonight so we don't end up watching re-runs of the same shows we seem to stick to." I told Harry, finishing up feeding Addison her lunch in her highchair.

"Louis mentioned maybe coming over one day this week so I can text him and see if he wants to join us for dinner-I'm sure Eleanor would be coming too so you can mention it to her when you're out spending all our money- I mean wedding planning with Samantha." Harry added, sneaking in the joking jab at the end. I rolled my eyes and hiked up Addison out of her chair and handed her to her dad. I reached past him and picked up the car keys, giving Harry a peck on the cheek, and headed out the door but not before I looked up the address to the boutique we would all be meeting in.

Much to my surprise, the boutique wasn't very far from my house and I was there in under ten minutes. I stepped inside the small shop and noticed I was the last one to arrive and I couldn't even use Addison as an excuse as to why I was late. I greeted Samantha with a hug and was offered a small glass of champagne by one of the workers.
